We eat a lot of salmon here. Fresh out of the Fraser River and onto the grill! Yummmmmm......

I can't eat grocery store stuff. Too old and most of it is farmed fish.

You off tomorrow Sarah? I don't know if they do Veterna's Day in Canada and if they do, if they celebrate it the same day. The actual day is today, the 11th but here we move most of our holidays to Monday for long weekends.

I don't do sushi. I like some seafood but it definitely has to be cooked!!!! I can only imagine how fresh your fish is there!!!!

We have Rememberence Day not Veterns Day here. It is always on 11th here too but tomorrow is a holiday. I think it is pretty much the same thing. Remembering those who fought for our freedoms and honoring those who are still serving for us and those around the world.

It was actually pretty neat this year. We had an American Navy ship in port as well as an Australian one so they participated in the ceremonies and laid wreaths as well this year.

You guys don't do the poppies though do you?

Once a year, but I can't recall right now when the disabled veterans are out there and they sell poppies to raise money for disabled veterans. I got them earlier this year, I think it's near Memorial Day (May 30th) but am not positive. I have gotten a few every year as far as I can remember.!
