I sure did when I was off work and on unemployment. I spent a good part of my day on here, lol, needed to get busy again and get back into a routine and am finally doing that, which is good.

I just posted an update on my thread. Took me wayyyyy tooooo looonnnnnggggg since the board wasn't playing nicely with me earlier but I stuck it out!

Things seem to have speeded back up though.

But the poppies - we all wear them. Vets sell them and there are collection boxes in every store, school, etc. They are handed out to those who cannot contribute too so even the homeless are wearing them.

They signify the poppies growing in Flander's Field.

Do you guys know the poem? Here every elementary school student memorizes it for school.

O.k. I will catch up later. I saw a remark about poppies. This may have been answered. We do have Buddy poppies here. Our vets give them out for donations and all money recieved from it goes to our disabled and wounded veterans. I have one on right now. We passed them out at Church today for our veterans day service. I also wore one Fri. In memeory and Thanks for all our Vets have done. My Dad is a Vietnam Vet and my nephew is in Iraq right now. Gotta go, Got choir practice!!!!

I haven't seen the poppies out but will have to get myself one tomorrow if I can find them. I always buy them every time I pass a disabled vet with them. I truly want to honor them any time I can. We all have so much to be thankful to them for!!!
