She is doing her lyrical solo today. No costume either so she is wearing her ballet costume from her pas de deux last year. Oh well.

Where is The Oaks? I never heard of that. We are going to Grand Isle for Thanksgiving and staying at the State Campground on the Gulf of Mexico. We'll cook Thanksgiving dinner in the camper, a small turkey breast, stuffing balls, cranberry sauce, broccoli casserole and mashed potatoes, prob some biscuits too!

Christmas in the Oaks is in City Park in New Orleans. Here is a pic:

Holy Cow OB!!! Christmas in the Oaks looks great!!! I told DH I wanted to go to the Festival of Lights in Natchitoches the first Saturday in December and he said that's fine. So when it gets closer, like another week, lol, we'll make arrangements to meet up and have a cup of hot cocoa together!!! I don't know if we'll be there all day, we may come a little later in the day so I may miss your little girl in the parade but I'll see you that evening for sure. We'll pick a time and place, exchange cell phone numbers and make sure we can meet up.

Yes Grand Isle is about 7 hours from us!!!! It's the furthest point south in Louisiana. It is southeast of New Orleans. We're going to leave Wed when I get home from work and then drive to about Morgan City and stay overnight in a Walmart there. Then Thursday will drive the last 100 miles to Grand Isle. We'll go fishing and have a turkey dinner and then fish Friday and Saturday and come home Sunday. We'll leave earlier Sunday so it will a lot easier to go home in one day. I am going to miss Black Friday shopping though but really, I don't need anything that would go on a big sale that day. The stores are having so many good sales now that Black Friday won't be that big of a deal!
