Anyone here tonight?

I'm back for a while anyway. Sharky just got home from DGS's birthday party. I could hardly here her on the phone, he was hootin and hollarin while playing with his toys. Sounds like he had a good time except towards the end he was getting tired and no longer wanted to play with the games he wanted to play with his toys so he was cranky, poor baby!

I've always thought it was kind of a cruel practice making the kids open their gifts but then they can't play with them!

Glad he had a great party!

Can't wait to see pictures!

It depends on the party.......CEC is enough without gift bags......now that we do more at home parties.........the girls, especially Anna, want to give the guests something...we did bags for both girls last year at their insistence! Come to think of it we did bags for Drew last year too.........this year, we did make your own pizza....and since 12 yr old boys are hard to buy for......they got to take their pizza home!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

DIsneydad fibbed to us....or as I read further along, he didn't pay attetntion...:rotfl2:

I hope you meant DH was b****ing about the party bags, LOL. I would think DS would like them since he gets one.

We always did the party bags for you when you were growing up. DH was just deprived, LOL.

Glad DH saw the error of his ways, LOL, bout time!!! He should know by now that you are always right!:lmao: :lmao:

Yes, I meant the bags:rotfl2:

Jen said the same thing that bags are a waste of money..

I say To each, Their Own...or I think that is how the saying goes:rotfl2:

Still don't know....he wants mac and cheese or sushi.......I'll have to wait til DDad gets up to decide!:confused3

That is a huge difference from one thing to the other...

so, what did you go with/?

Well QM....you didn't get to share 10,0000............but thanks for being here for my 800!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy cow Sharky!

QM said the party went well! Was you DS feeling better? I know he wasn't feeling great the other day.

You off tomorrow Sarah? I don't know if they do Veterna's Day in Canada and if they do, if they celebrate it the same day. The actual day is today, the 11th but here we move most of our holidays to Monday for long weekends.

The bank I work for is a merge bank..so there are two companies in it.

So our company is closed tomorrow, but the building is open and we are welcome to come in an work.

Since I missed Friday to do Xmas shopping, I am going to go in early and put in 2 hrs....

you are down to 35 now...........

Hope the missing partygoer comes soon!:goodvibes

They were just running a little late. Made it :thumbsup2

I hope so, her next text message was...."ahhhh its nuts here!" :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Serves her right for going to Chuck E Cheese on a Sunday, lol, she should have known better..... down to 34 now, woohoo!

Don't rub it in.

I onluy didn;t do it during the week, because Jen had to work.

If I had known how much she despised CEC, I would have just had it on a weeknight.

It was a nightmare the first half and nice the 2nd half:rotfl2:

Holy Cow!!

He was feeling almost all the way better.

But it was so crowded and he was overwhelmed and he doesn't like being the cetner of attention, so whenever anyone would give him a present and wish him a happy bday, He would go NOT MY BDAY and hide:rotfl2:

Towards the end, he just wanted to go home and play with his new toys..

We ducked out early....My cousin and her daughter left about 5:30.

We left closer to 6pm

My BFF and Her SIL and kids and my Friend, and her dh and kids, stayed a bit longer and played

I just couldn;t take DS whining anymore. I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown:scared1:

Good for you for cutting out when he needed you too. That place is crazy and can be overwhelming for some kids.

Is he just hanging out with his presents now?

Oh thank goodness! I thought you were out of your ever-loving mind!

I had a big one once for Emily. I think we ended up at about 45 kids - a few of who I had never met them or their families - neither had Emily! HAhahaha!!!!

What happened was that in kindergarten Belle was the only fall birthday. All the other kids were spring or summer babies so her birthday party was the first one of the school year. So I had all the little girls over from her class and we had a lovely tea party and all was good and well in the world.

Then the rest of the kids started having their parties and I didn't know that the "tradition" at our school was for the kindergarten party to be all of the kids from both classes! Oops! They do it in kindy because there are only 12 kids per class so it is the year to do it with a maximum of 24 kids.

So I had some making up to do to BElle because she was none to pleased with me that she was the only kid who didn't have this rite of passage party.

Of course by grade 1 there are 18 kids in each class so now we are up to 36 kids.

Then I was on a committee at our local hospital and we were despirately trying to lure new ob/gyns to our hospital as we were down to 1 and he was old and cranky. Anyways, the head of the hospital had set up a couple of families to tour our town and check out the hospital, our school (its the only private school around and one of the best ranked ones in the country) and he was wondering if the kids could come to the party to meet some of the kids they would be going to school with.

Um, okay. I guess we'll take one for the team!

I figured with that many coming - what difference does a couple more make at that point!

Anyways, met some lovely people that day. 2 of the ob/gyns stayed and have become good friends of ours!

But it was a crazy party that's for sure!
