I have 2 of the teachers Christmas gifts. Does that count??????

I have still got to repot the plant I got from the funeral!! I got 2 Flower gardens that were beutifull but they consisted of inside and outside plants and flowers with some that needed sun and other that didn't need much sun and they were in box containers instead of baskets. (one was in a HUGE decorative hatbox and the other in a decorative wood suitcase type thing. ) So there is no water drainage. I have half of them repotted but have been too busy to do the others. I don't want to lose them, so After church tomorrow I'm going to finish!!

The containers the plants were in sound like they could be used for decorations at another time. They sound really nice. That's good you can repot them and then you will have them around as a nice remembrance of your MIL.

Yes the two teacher gifts count, that's something bought so far, lol.

It left my airport and went to Baton Rouge and never left Louisiana! They kept telling me they couldn't find it when the fact is they wouldn't look. When I put my claim in for a few thousand dollars for the luggage and contents, suddenly they found it! I had already bought new luggage and a whole new wardrobe to wear while there as I only had one pair of panties, one bra, and one set of clothes, had to buy shoes a dress, a suit, etc. So I spent well over $500 and that's because of the after Christmas sales!!! But when I was expecting my check they tell me they found the luggage. What made me the maddest was that my tag was there the whole time, one of their "employees" obviously had seen it come off and rather than put a new one on or tape it on the handle, they stuffed it in the front pocket and put the luggage in a store room in Baton Rouge. I was furious.

Oh my gosh! Of course you would have had to buy more clothes. Did you have luggage delay insurance on it? With that at least you are covered if its delayed more then 24 hours.

How annoying though. Over Christmas of all times. At least the gifts weren't in there.

Yes they are pretty. One matches my house perfect. But they were bought sent specifically for me to take home. We also got a beutifull fruit cocktail shrimp plant from my DHs best friends Mom and family who was also my MIL best friend.

Oh my gosh! Of course you would have had to buy more clothes. Did you have luggage delay insurance on it? With that at least you are covered if its delayed more then 24 hours.

I didn't have any add'l insurance. They gave me $195 for the first 48 hours and though that may sound like a lot, as you know it doens't buy much. I got some undewear, two tops so I had a change and two bras and some toiletries. Then after Christmas we went out and bought me a few more clothes when they still couldn't find it as we were staying two weeks. Then I needed the luggage to get it home. I did have a few Christmas gifts in there so had to mail them (more money) once the luggage came, plus I had a few new items I had gottne as gifts just before Christmas in there so it was a huge loss, or so I thought.

It really put a damper on everythng as we had to constantly call the airlines and the lost luggage and spent countless hours hanging on. It was so annoying and I was so mad.

I'm so glad one matches with your house perfectly. I know you will cherish them.The fruit cocktail shrimp plant sounds interesting, I never saw one of those!

I sure hope not.This year tho am going to put half my clothes and half DH's in one suit case and the other halves of each of our things in the other, so we both have clothes should this happen again. Plus I am going to try to mail most of the gifts except DGS's Laptop.

I had dial up for years so I truly understand, and sympathize! It's okay tag along, as long as you are here, that is what counts!!!

Yes we love ya Tag Along. I don't see why anyone would be mad at you posting the list of posters on your TR. Disneydad does it, Sharky and I have done it and I can't see any reason for anyone to be upset!!!

Thank you. As much as I'd like you to think I am the ultimate MomMom, I didn't have to buy the laptop. I was given one from work when I was laid off, it's a Dell Latitude and it is a pretty good one. But I don't need two. So I am just oing to buy a wireless card and put that in and it will be his main gift from me. He will have his very own laptop it will have enough memory to play his games and he can get on the internet for his other games. I think he'll be thrilled not to have to wait for Sharky and I know she'll be thrilled, LOL!!!!

I always wanted grandaughter's as well, so send them on down, LOL.

In the end I wrote the airlines a letter of complaint as to how the whole situation was handled and how their employee had put the tag in the pocket rather than on the handle and all I got was a $200 credit towards another flight. I "think" I know where I put that so I can use it this Christmas when I travel there!!!


I'll see if I can post a pic. from the website. I've been looking up how to take care of these things. I've went from 2 small plants to 17 new ones!!!! I would like these to live!!!!
