Best AP discount %

I will concider getting an AP for our upcoming trip if it will save us money on hotel stay. We currently have 35% discount, thanks to pin offer.
My question, do you think/have you ever gotten more than 35% discount on room ressies with AP discount? By the way we are going mid-may

In Jan 2006 we got the DL Hotel for $89 AP rate. I really don't know what percentage off the regular rate that was, but I suspect it was more than 35%. Now, does that mean they're likely to do that again? I rather doubt it, so I wouldn't purchase an AP counting on it... I think you can call and check on AP rates, and then if they're lower than your current rate, just purchase the AP then.
