Safari: On your opening of must see attractions you have the Safari listed for newbies and kids. It's one of our favorite attractions in all of Disney. Never the same trip twice. Some have been definitely better than others, but it's all in the timing! (Early morning, late afternoons - skip middle of day when it's too hot and the animals are trying to find some cool in the shade).
Kali River Rapids: to keep socks/sneakers, etc. dry, bring enough plastic grocery bags (# of people, X2). Once seated, slip one on each foot & wrap & tie around ankles. Works great - bags take up little room until needed. If you plan on going again later - keep the bags, putting wet side to wet side, etc., folding up neatly & tucking away for the next time.
It's Tough to be a Bug: we went last year with our grown children. Husband and I had done EE the previous trip, and decided to skip it this year - husband's back was acting up - so told kids to go onto EE, and we'd meet them by the exit of ITTBAB. Who knew they should have a warning for people with back problems. When the bugs decided to begin the attack on the audience, my husband jolted when the bug apparantly attacked from the back! Not a fun thing, when we're thinking this could be a great break!
EE: I found going up the steep outdoor incline very intense! - to the point I was staring at the guys head in front of me so intently, I missed the Yeti @ the beginning! The rest of the ride moves so quickly, you literally don't know if you're coming or going. I enjoyed that part.
