Best Animal Kingdom Guide - Best Tips, tricks, Must do's, Please Contribute!!!

One other little tidbit... when eating at Pizzafari, see if you can find the "hidden Mickey" in the Nocturnal Room. We had a CM point it out for us last year.

Added very little.

"7. No standing for Lion King and Nemo - Get a seat outside of either the Lion King or Nemo and wait until the doors open to just walk in without having to stand in line for a lengthy period. Works with any attraction where they unload one group and load another one. When you see the group exiting, you join the group going in"

Hi,
I am a newbie and going to Disney next week. I didn't understand the above tip. I also see in the same posting recommending that you need to line up 30 min before Nemo. The posting also says, "Best times to see this are the first or last show of the day. If you show up half an hour before the next Festival of the Lion King show, chances are you will be waiting for the show that follows to be seated!" I must be missing something.

Can anyone clear-up my confusion? Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the DIS forums Wonbaby.

Many of the shows/attractions at DW are constantly loading and unloading. Nemo and Lion King are like that sort of. Once you know the time of the show you want to attend you go over to the area a bit ahead of time and there are areas with benches and low walls outside the que area where you can sit and when you see the previous audience exiting you just get in line and walk right in without the long stand in line thing. The only time that this will not work is on holidays and other high crowd times. When Nemo first opened up you had to stand in line because it was so popular that the seats filled up quickly but once an attraction has been around for awhile this is seldom necessary. This works with shows such as Country Bear Jamboree, Tiki Room and others where you enter one side and exit the other side and the shows are continuous. There are seldom any bad seats so this works well and besides most of the good seats are in the back of the room rather than the front anyway.

I hope that answers your question and that you have a delightful trip and come back to report on anything you might like to tell us.

thanks for all the info everyone. I will be traveling for the next two weeks and I won't have easy internet access for most of my trip. If you have any last advice or tips please post them.

thank you

Hi IMWink -

I'm new to disboards but have been lurking for a few weeks. Thanks for assembling all the great tips to all 4 parks - I've diligently put them all into a Word Doc so I can print them and bring them with me! I was wondering if you could send me the menus you have to all the parks? :flower3:

I can't PM you because I'm such a noobie. LOL :confused3

Thank you!
Heather

IMTink, how did your trip go? What tips worked the best for you? Did you write a TR? So many questions, just waiting for answers.:rotfl:

I leave in three weeks myself but since we are an older retired couple our mileage will vary.

Best kept secret in the park: single rider line for EE!

If you're traveling solo (or your group is willing to split up), you can ride EE with almost no wait. I was there last month, and rode three times in 25 minutes (there were zero to four people in front of me each time -- literally no one in front of me the last time!). It's even better than FP, since you can ride several times in a row, without waiting.

I also recommend the Flights of Wonder show - it's wonderful!

OMG.....Thank goodness I found this thread!!! Now I have acess to all the parks thanks to ur links!! Absolutely love it.

If you want to make your 'tea' recommendation more specific, the place is the Anandapur Tea Company and they have the BEST frozen chai ever!!!

KCLYN: I'm 31 and it scares me too!!! Every photo of me from the ride camera is always of me hovering over to hide my eyes. I've only ridden twice, so I still forget when the dinosaur pops out and it gets me every time :rotfl2:

For restaurants I would say definitely do Donald's Safari Breakfast - yummy FRUNCH juice (they call it something else, but it's the same stuff.)

For some reason every time we ride it I get stuck on the far right side of the vehicle in the front row. So when it's time for pictures I usually have my hands over my ears because that dinosaur is extremely loud. Especially in the front!! i told my husband the next time we go I'm bringing ear plugs just for this ride!

The Safari isn't open for evening EMH, sorry!

Thanks.

The tips at the beginning of the thread should be corrected as it stated that the ride is open during the PM EMH. It makes sense to close it though because you probably would not be able to see much anyway without the use of some sort of lighting.

I'll try again:

EE must be awesome in the dark!
