Best and Worst Value for TS credits (a math exercise)

If you get the surf and turf at Narcoosee's it is a very good value. At $58 a pop plus the $7-$8 dessert it comes to about $33 per credit. And the surf and turf are very good. The Lobster Tail and Filet Mignon with potato gratin and green peppercorn brandy sauce are very good.

Good point, I didn't mean to lead anyone astray, my analysis is done on the average cost of a meal.

But of course, your mileage may vary.

Here is a list of the highest value meals for a TS Credit:
- Lobster Tails @ Cap'n Jacks
- Beef Tenderloin @ Chefs de France
- NY Strip Steak @ Coral Reef
- NY Strip Steak @ Le Cellier
- Royal Feast @ Marakesh
- Mixed Grill @ Maya Grill
- The Abboodonza Meal @ Tutto Italia

Enjoy!

This math challenged poster thanks you for doing this :cool1:

I do want your opinion on Ragland Road- one of my favorites.

I always order the It's not bleeding Chowder at $22.95, and Ger's Bead and butter pudding at $7.99.

It works out to be a good value for me,

but how would it rank for the average menu price?

Thanks!

Hey Perdido, welcome to the math lesson of the day.

The average cost of a TS credit right now is $21.26. The top 10% for average cost exceed $28.66, so your meal at $30.94 is an excellent value. The average cost of a meal at Raglan Road is $25.79.

Have fun!

Interesting. But a pure mathematical calculation does not take into account things like food quality and restaurant ambience. For my money (or DDP credits), a two credit meal is well worth the price of two credits because the food quality and ambience at the signature restaurants are so superior to that of 1TS restaurants -- especially now that WDW essentially has created a very clear distinction in the quality of the 1TS and 2TS food and experiences.

For example, I would never waste 1TS on Ohana, although many love it.

By contrast, I would happily spend 2TS on a meal at Jiko or CG, both of which represent dining at a quality level I'm actually interested in.

I do agree with premise that this does not take into account the quality nor ambiance (I stated that in my OP). However, let's say that you would like to go to 4 sit-down meals over a 3-night DDP and one of those is a 2TS meal. My analysis says that, in general, it makes more sense to the pay for the 2TS meal OOP and then use your TS credits for the other 3 meals

DISCLAIMER: The above statement is a generalization and may not be exact for the meals that you are planning. As always, your mileage may vary and objects in the mirror are larger than they appear.;)

I sent you a PM. This is fabulous - I have been hoping that someone on this board could do just this, since I am a math dud it was something I knew I could never do.:headache:
