My 2 kids and I are coming to Disney for a short 5 day trip. It was a spur of the moment trip and most of it is paid with CC Points.

Got 5 nights free at the Dolphin. So, can't use Disney Shuttle. We get in around 10PM. What would you recommend from the airport to the Dolphin. After reading some of the Uber thread I think we will use that on the way back and my new Chase Sapphire Reserve Card will reimburse $30 of that. Never used Uber before but seems like it is a great option. Wish we could use it from the airport.

What do you all recommend for a 1 way trip? (Super Shuttle, Mears, Taxi ??)

I've used Mears to the Dolphin/Swan, with okay results. It took an hour or so though....the van/bus makes other stops. I think it's about $23 one way for adults, $18 for kids. Most towncars charge about $80 one way. So, it's up to you how to do it. A towncar service or cab will get you there more quickly (about 30 mins) but will cost more.

Looks like Mears or Supper Shuttle would be about $60 for all of us plus tip. Looks like Mears had a towncar for like $80. Might be worth the extra. Do any of these companies ever have discount codes to use?

Alamo rental car and drop the car off at the Dolphin. Then to return to the airport rent another car from the Dolphin.

Mears's shuttle is quite carefree. I am still a bit prejudiced against taxis because of possible unexpected higher prices due to driver shenanigans. (Why the Uber fad has only led to more regulations on Uber/Lyft/etc. and almost no improved consumer protection for taxi riders is still a mystery to me.)

Double check the total car rental cost (may be a drop charge at random times) before selecting that option. Be sure to indicate the dropoff location when shopping/booking.

In almost all cases booking a rental car in advance will cost less than walking up to a counter to rent it.
