Best AKL Jambo Savanna view

[Rest&Relax]

To make a long story short we added a night to our Dec. stay at BLT (9th-17th) due to our flights. Of course we could not get another night at BLT so we booked AKL Jambo savanna view for 1 night on the 18th.

Our plan is just to relax and enjoy our stay at AKL, maybe doing dinner at Jiko or Sanaa and Boma for breakfast (already moved Boma from a previous day). Since this is an extra day for us, I really want to to be able to enjoy our stay and take advantage of the best savanna view.

So my question is what type of room request should I ask for to take advantage of the best savanna view?

FYI: It will just be DH & I so prefer a quiet area, long halls not a problem, will not be at the pool, will enjoy walking around AKL but mostly relaxing and taking advantage of the balcony with a glass of wine or two that evening .

Any thoughts or appreciated!

Most places are fine, personal preference, and this can be a request, is room along Zebra Trail not close to the lobby overlooking Arusha Savanna. Area has good views of animals but also has the advantage that the rooms face west and thus you did not get blinding sun in the morning but see pleasant sunsets in the evening.

Just be careful with a room far from the lobby. I was facing the Arusha savannah, which was nice, but way out there on the left side as you face the savannah. The elevators that go to Mara were on the other side of the lobby, so whenever I went down there I walked "to Timbuktoo and back" (as my grandmother used to say) across the bridge. BTW, room # was 5377. Oh, well-at least I got my exercise to justify more zebra domes!

We stayed in a savannah studio in this same area. Awesome viewing and convenient location.

I was in that area too, and it's so convenient to the elevator that takes you to the pool and the Mara.

I stayed along the Zebra Trail in May once for a solo trip. It was a long way from the elevators and it was PERFECT.
