I would like to get a cc that rewards airline points that can be used for overseas flights. It would be used for everything and paid off each month to rack up the miles.

We would like to go to Europe but the flights seem to be such a huge expense.

Thanks for any suggestions.

We're heading to London/Paris this year and flights are pretty high these days, so I feel your pain. We have a Delta/AMEX card that we use, but the benefits aren't that great and it comes with one-year no fee -then $99/year following. So it's not the first card I pull out of my wallet, but I use it on anything I wouldn't normally get 2x points on ...for those purchases we use the Disney Visa. If we get a free plane ticket -fine, but we're really not chasing one. I still think you're better off just using a card that will provide the most benefit, and buying your airfare on your own. Some of the "free" flights generally have fees and flight restrictions -or we've also had situations where it was less to buy (2) tickets from another airline than it would have been to use (1) free ticket and buy the other. It's a game and you really need to do the math!
