Best Activities for College Age Vacationer

We are heading to WDW with our 19-year-old son between Christmas and New Years. We haven’t been in 6 years. We went 6 years in a row from his age 8-13. Not only has Disney changed, but clearly he has. What activities do you do with your young adult children that make it a great trip? We are using up some expiring Disney Visa points and thought it would be fun to take a trip down memory lane. However, we know we can’t expect the exact same things to be fun for him (and us). Thanks for your advice.

So my college aged kids loved the same things they did as teens BUT they were able to appreciate the classics a little more and really wanted to eat a lot more( especially the boys) !!! Maybe a few nice dinners especially at Epcot. Explore Star Wars land, and just revisit all the old favorites. Mine loved Disney just as much as young adults as they did as kids. Sounds like a lot of fun!!

I've only gone as an adult, so I would say plan to do the things that you yourself love to do if you were going without kids. Some nicer restaurants, maybe more resort/pool time could make the trip feel more "adult". Sleeping in and staying out late would probably be right up his alley if that's his normal routine. Honestly, a lot has been added to the theme parks in the last 6 years, so I bet he will have plenty to look forward to.

From what I hear from my friends who visited WDW as kids and continue to return as adults, it seems like those who grew up with Disney always find a way to appreciate the place for what it is...truly a vacation destination for all ages.

What a great time to have that *family* experience again! Let him choose a few potential places to eat. Evenings are great at EPCOT, so maybe give him a chance to sleep in, spend a few hours at the pool and then head out for a nice evening. Give him a gift card with a healthy snack budget. Plan on more trips post college/new job when you can pick up where you left off. ENJOY!
