I started dating my DH in '85, and have always considered that "our song"! Another '80s favorite is "Blister in the Sun" by the Violent Femmes (one of my absolute favorite '80s bands!).

If I have to pick *one* song:

Bad - U2

Esp. the Live Aid or Rattle and Hum live versions. I get goosebumps watching Bono give Adam that little hug as he walks off-stage near the end of the Rattle and Hum version (surprised I haven't worn out that DVD yet)

Right on! I love the Violent Femmes....also the Ramones are awesome, I think that they apply. Anything by The Clash and also U2 was brilliant, and they still are.

Three pages of posts and not a single mention of Foreigner? My 80's consisted of Styx, Journey, Foreigner, Air Supply, Whitney Houston, Billy Joel, Rick Springfield and then some dance club tunes like " You Dropped a bomb on me" and "Addicted to love".
