Best 7-day Eastern excursions for shopping?

DH and I are looking over the excursions and trying to get an idea of what we want to do. I would like to do one snorkel excursion and then one that takes you to good shopping locations. I have read a lot on this board re: snorkeling excursions but haven't seen much on shopping. Is it better to just walk off the boat and walk to shopping areas near the boat? For those who suggest renting a car, I can tell you now I am not interested in doing that on this cruise. This will be our first cruise ever and first time in the caribbean ever. I am one of those who don't feel comfortable doing excursions on my own (at this point). I think about all the things that could go wrong, since I don't know the place. Probably after seeing the islands and getting a feel for how things work, that will probably change.
