What a great group as always! :thumbsup2

Thanks for all your replies so far and keep them coming since we can't have our DDP meeting for another week yet due to work deadlines.

MK - Plaza Restaurant
MGM - Sci Fi
AK - ?
EPCOT - Le Cellier

Best Resort - Whispering Canyons Cafe in the WL Resort

MK - lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern (although this is not the most dollar-wise use of a DDP credit)
AK - no DDP TS available yet, but the Yak & Yeti is coming soon
Epcot - Le Cellier dinner
MGM - Prime Time dinner

My top 5 -
1 - Le Cellier dinner
2 - Raglan Road dinner
3 - Kona Cafe dinner
4 - Boma dinner
5 - Chefs de France dinner

For MGM, would you prefer:
Mama Melrose dinner with seating for Fantasmic
-or-
50's Prime Time (don't know if has view of Fantasmic)

Fantasmic starts at 7pm in November when we are going. What time should we make reservations at Mama Melrose to see the show? (If Mama Melrose does have seating for Fantasmic.)

after MUCH research--pretty much ALL here--
we booked:

Boma
Kona
Le Cellier
O'hanas
Le Chefs
W.Pucks Cafe (just DH & I--2TS)
Narcoosees (just Mom & I--2TS)

I based this on a combo of recommendations here, as well as looking closely at the menus. We did a character meal on DCL, kids said one is enough. (PHEW!) Not buffet fans, but Boma sounds too unique to pass up.

It's nice to see quite a few of these places keep coming up!:goodvibes

There are others I would like to try...maybe our NEXT trip...:rolleyes1

Wolfgang Puck's Cafe is only 1ts credit..

MGM: Sci-fi (yes we love it, the shakes are awesome)
MK: Honestly, never had a good table service worth mentioning, the only one we have not tried is crystal palace and we are doing that in september
EPCOT: Le Cellier

Top 5:
1. Le Cellier
2. Coral Reef
3. California Grill
4. 1900 Park Fare Breakfast (Mad Hatter is awesome)
5. Garden Grill

In November, depending on when exactly, there shouldn't be much of a crowd issue. I would do Prime Time as our expericence at MM was little more that an Olive Garden.

Course, we could have just ordered wrong or had a bad restaurant night. It just wasn't anything memorable in either food, service or surroundings. At least Prime Time hits on all three of those areas.

MK - Tony's
AK -
MGM - Moma Melrose
Epcot - LeCellier

2. If you chose your top five 1-credit TS meals anywhere in WDW, where would they be? (In order of preference.)

We really don't do TS for lunch. We reserve the CS for lunch options.

1. Boatwrights (this is our favorite secret TS place)
2. LeCellier
3. Nine Dragons
4. Alfredos
5. Spoodles

Not on the plan but we also love Bongos and Portabellos

MGM: Prime time, though I hear Brown Derby is good but 2 TS
MK: I would go to Ohanas for Dinner with Wishes piped in. Haven't had a great TS in the MK itself, which is kinda weird.
EPCOT: Le Cellier if I could ever book it. It was down for Refurb last trip. Coral Reef has gotten much better in food and service according to some recent reviews. Many good options in Epcot IMO.
AK: Only have done Donald's Breakfasaurous. Fun but depends if you have kids or like Char meals. For Dinner there is nothing at AK to write home about, look at resorts nearby ie Boma, Jiko, Maya Grill ect.

Top 5: That we have eaten at:( Doesn't mean they are best)
1. Maya Grill (Surprisingly top notch in all areas).
2. Wolfgang Pucks
3. Whispering Canyon Cafe (just plain fun)
4. Coral Reef (Even back when the food and service was so-so......what a view, we had table side tank seats)
5. Though not in WDW Hard Rock Cafe- Their Angus hamburger thing was the BEST hamburger I have EVER had. Plus it's a cool place.

Do they have to be in parks? I don't think any of mine would be in parks.

Boma, Ohana, Raglan Road, Whispering Canyon (for lunch only), Boatwrights (for breakfast only)

My original post was a two part question. Part-1 was best in parks while part-2 was top 5 regardless of where.

Thanks for your input,

This will be our first trip to WDW and first experience with the Disney Dining Plan so sorry for the basic questions.

=====

1. On wdwinfo I see the following Wolfgang Pucks listed:
Wolfgang Puck Cafe Express
Wolfgang Puck Express
Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe
Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe-Sushi Bar
Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe-Upstairs

When folks recommend Wolfgang Puck, which resturant should we make reservations for?

=====

2. What does the Disney Dining Plan actually cover?
For instance on the Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe dinner menu I see:
Appetizers/Starter ranging from .............. $9.95 to $15.95
Soups/Salads ranging from ..................... $4.95 to $6.95
Entree/Main Course ranging from ........... $11.95 to $31.95 (for the Wolf's Steak)
Drinks ranging from ............................... $3.50 (water) to $14.25 (wine)

One selection from each category or does the 1 TS credit cover the Entree/Main Course only?

=====

Thanks!

Here are my families favorites:

MK - Crystal Palace
MGM - Sci-fi
Epcot - Alfredo's or Garden Grill
AK - Donald's Breakfastasaurus(which is closing in November!)

Top 5:

Wolfgang Pucks
Alfredo's(changing over after August!)
Chef Mickey's Dinner
1900 Park Fare - Breakfast
These four are unanimous

Last one we can't decide!!

If you do the package -- do it early -- our ADR was at 4:30 and we literally had to RUN through the park to get to Fantasmic on time. We are skipping the package this year (thanks to advice of wonderful Dis'ers) and our trying P.T.

It is 1 credit. You get 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 dessert, 1 non-alcoholic drink per person!! It is great. Our bill would have been over $225.00 for 5 people, the whole thing was covered on the plan!

We asked the CM who was taking our dining ADRs which one was on the DDP and she said Wolfgang Puck express in DTD is 1 CS and Wolfgang Puck Cafe in PI lower level is 1 TS.
