Is there anything else for DVC or elsewhere? We are there the week of Halloween and yet to justify the cost for the Party at MK. One child does not want to do a Parade event at all.

The best thing about Mickeys not so scary halloween party is that they only sell a limited amount of tickets to it so the park is not crowded and you can get right on all the rides.

The parade at MNSSHP is very good. My kids never liked parades either but they do like that one. The fireworks are different that night too. It's my favorite "event" at WDW.

:) There is the haunted carriage ride at FW and I think you can see the Headless Horseman leave the stables for his ride to start the parade also...or so I have heard. AKV has a pumpkin carving contest for the CMs and they are on display. There is always the campfire sing a long at FW, sometimes a story teller at POFQ/PORS. I love doing popcorn in the microwave and heading down to the pool at night for the movie. You can also go to AKV for stories around the fire pit at Kidani.

One of the reasons we like to go to MNSSHP is that the other parks sometimes close early and we want to stay. DTD no longer does trick or treat.

What about what Mom and Dad want to do? I think you should go to the party if you want to...I can't imagine not doing it at least once. It is more "festive" than the MVMCP and they really do a good job of changing MK into a spookier environment. We love to go just to see the witches on the buildings and of course to see the REAL Headless Horseman.

Have a great trip regardless. :cool1:

Unfortunately, the haunted hay ride is no more. Don't know why they stopped it. We had done it for 5-6 years and really enjoyed the legend of sleepy hollow and DH is a big headless horseman fan but........:confused3

Don't know how old your DS is, but there is a party at BWV on HAlloween night starting around 5-6 with a DJ, cookie decorating and "surprise guests". It is held on the "green" by the boat pier.

The MNSSHP is great. The fireworks and parade are somethng you can only see at the party. Alot of the villians are out, DJ in Tomorrowland and of course, treat or treatin'. SO much candy!!!!!! Love seeing all the costumes guests come up with. Alot of fun. We arrive the FRiday before whenever Halloween is for 10-11 days and the MNSSHP is always a sell out for Halloween night so you do have to plan ahead for that week.
