Leah looked darling, and what a choice for the music! Perfect for a DIS family. I've had lots of practice with the hair, too. DD has been in ballet since she was 2 years old, so I've been at it for 10 years.

Our son will be 16 the end of the month. We are planning a family birthday party for him next Saturday night at grandma and grandpa's houes. He is getting his new car that night, so I'm sure he'll be itching to take his test. He thinks the car will belong to DH and myself. Grandma and grandpa actually decided to buy it for him, so his name is on the title with us. It won't actually belong to only him until after he graduates. We have a rule against teens owning their own cars in our family.

We are also planning DD's birthday party with friends for the 24th. She was 12 in April but wanted to do a swimming party at our neighborhood pool this summer. So it's pizza and cake a week from Tuesday and then DS's real birthday is Thursday the 26th. Sound crazy enough?

I remember recital,this year it was Cell Block Tango for Jazz,Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend(Moulin Rouge) for tap and The theme from The Pianist for lyrical(I took 3 classes)

Just a quick good morning.....haven't had a chance to catch up on the thread yet. We got home very late last night....and waiting for me was my summer exchange box!!! I'm plannig to open it when I get home from work this afternoon....can't wait!

Merry, your kids are lucky to have their own cars, so I totally understand why they aren't allowed to "fully own them" until after graduation. I had to share a car with my brother and sister (we were all 3 years apart) and my first car that was in my name was the one I bought myself after I graduated college. Enjoy planning all those parties!!!

Good Morning!
I'm not sure how much Dising I'll get to do today because I'll be babysitting my great-niece (3) & nephew (5 months) all day today. My niece recently went back to work & her regular babysitter is out of town today. It should be fun! maybe
We have the first informational cheer meeting this afternoon....I assume that's when they'll tell us when all the $$ is due. I am amazed at what school sports are costing at the high school.
Well, I'm gonna pop back to the riddle thread to see if my IHSEIM has arrived yet....OK was in the shower when I sent my guess.

Good Morning Angels!!!

Had to read a couple of pages to catch up. We had the in-laws over yesterday and my DH and I spent most of the day doing yardwork since it was so nice.

Marsha - glad you found out what was killing your back. Hope you are feeling better. (((Hugs))) for you.

MerryPoppins - your son is going to be 16 and you send him to camp w/ pretty girls, then when he comes back you give him a car???? Sounds like he is going to be one happy fellow at the end of the week!!!

LK - I'm sure Leah did a great job on Friday. Did you do any illegal taping of the show?

Lars - did you happen to go under the sprinkler at all yesterday? Twas a beautiful day for it!!!

Gail - you have much more patience than I do with not opening your box yet. We want to know!!!!

Lorraine, we were allowed to video and take pictures at the rehearsal with this studio.

Last year, the place that Leah went to was VERY strict about everything. We were not allowed to video or take pictures at all because they expected you to dish out big $ to buy their video. While it is nice to have a professionally made video, I paid tons of $ for her to go to that place, so I'll be darned if I can't get my own video zooming in on only her. A bunch of the parents sat in the back of the auditorium last year and secretly videoed our DD's as they danced during the rehearsal. It was pretty funny to see the lengths we went to so we didn't get caught.

Marsha I hope that those nasty stones have passed for you! DH had those once and was one miserable fellow for a couple of days!

Leah looks so cute! Thanks for the pic. My DD never did dance so we've never had a recital for her. My only experience with one is from mine when I was about 5. I was a daisy.

Good morning ladies. I slept better last night than I have in several days. Wish my mom's boyfriend would get back in town so he could fix my neck. It's still bothering me, but I think it's actually a little better.

It's really quiet around here. No one for DD to fight with, I guess. She'll be talking to me constantly this week, though, so it's a trade-off. LOL! I dearly love spending time with my daughter, but she's just like I was growing up. She follows me around when I'm working and walks so close that when I turn around I bump into her. It makes my mother laugh because she remembers me doing the same thing. We do get some good quality time when we are alone though. I wouldn't trade it.

I better go look at the riddle. Hope it's easier than last weeks were. Then I need to get to work. See you guys later.

Phew...I made it on the boards....thanks to Lars sharing the link!

Yes, Elaine does have the inside scoop because she saw the inside of my box as she packed it and sent it to me!!! She brought me some great things from her recent trip to WDW!

Each of the 4 Parases now has a new Mickey tumbler, one each in orange, purple, red and yellow. (I'm using the orange one right now!) To compliment our drinks there are 4 Mickey stirrers. So I don't drink too much without eating, I have a bag of tri-colored Mickey pasta. There was also some WDW post-it notes and a magical penny that has a star punched out of the middle. I'm going to keep it in a special place and naturally it will multiply each night by magic so that I can afford to join the angels in the World in August and again in December!

Last but not least.....my good friend Elaine sent me a new car!!!! It's a lime-green Honda Civic and Matt already has his eye on it.....but I told him it's mine!
