I would say I am here, but I hafta go slice criminis and onions, it'smy favorite dinner night, london broil sliced and wrapped with bacon, and sauted in real butter mushroom and sweet onions.

Boring day here, too. I saw the thread about those kids, it is so awful.

I did manage to buy a new bottle of toe nail polish Key Lime Shine, and I mailed my Auntie Marsha box, and the book, Be on the lookout Lars.

Slicing is calling, gotta go play prep cook.

I've been ironing and packing and hosing down DD after a day at camp.

I also read the thread about the accident. We've had several young people lose their lives around here recently too. Always so sad.

Evening Angels!

Went to go see the movie "Chicago" tonight w/ my girlfriend. Can I say this is the best movie I have seen in a long time!! I knew a lot of the songs, and I was amazed at how well the movie was done. Now I need to buy the soundtrack.

Is everyone all packed for RiddleCon? I am going to be sad w/o you guys. Have a couple drinks for me. I'll give LK my hubby's cell phone #, so maybe you can call me.

The 31st is my 10th wedding anniversary. My DH is planning something, but won't tell me. The kids will be staying at the IL's overnight, so wherever we go, it will be minus kids.

Marsha - I need to get some of that polish! Where did you buy it, and what brand is it?

Gaspode - where are you?

Lars - so sad to hear news about teenagers or any young people losing their lives.

Well, I heard from the Dr.'s office that EMG showed some neuro damage, but NOT Guillain-Barre. Not sure that is good or bad, because now we don't know WHAT it is! I don't feel any better, so.... I don't really feel any worse though either.

Diane, that is really good news so far. Now if they could just get to the root of the problem. Doctors........

SB the polish is Milani brand, I got it at Ulta. Never heard of it before and it was the only green in the whole store. Normally I stay away from green nails, but for my vacation, getting to meet some of you Angels, I thought it was appropriate.
Guess it's gonna be you, me and Diane here this weekend, and maybe Kimmar, lots of people going to Riddlecon. I am sure we will survive, but I sure wish I could ride that Top Thrill Dragster. I don't know if it's back up and running tho. Hey that reminds me, we need a plan. We gotta figure out where and when! Work on it, OK?

It finally rained tonight, for maybe 1/2 hour, it will make all the cactus green and the ocotillo (pronounced o co tea yo) will sprout leaves and flowers. Sometimes that is the only way you can tell that it has rained, when they are green, we know it happened a few days earlier. I bet we got a half inch, if that.

Hiya

Sorry to not have been around much again lately, as some of you know from an impromptu AIM chat when I was having trouble sleeping the other night... I fell down the stairs (yes! I know, we need to move!) on Sunday and my arm is really getting bad. I've just walked back (through pouring rain, joy) from the doctors who agreed it *may* be a trapped nerve. It is really making typing quite difficult as well as sleeping, holding anything etc....

I've got some stronger painkillers now tho' and some gel to rub in so hopefully twill be better soon and I can DIS more!

Other than that I'm working hard on an application for a new p/t job that I really really want

Diane - Good to hear it isn't GB, I really hope you get a proper diagnosis soon - it's not good to feel bad! **hugs**

Diane - kind of a mixed blessing with that result - but I'm very happy to hear that it is NOT GB! And I'm happy to hear you got the results back quickly too. I do hope they figure out what's ailing you.

Gaspode - I hope you're on the mend very quickly.

Katie and I had a great time at the water park yesterday. Except for a brief cloudy period, the weather was just right. We hit a lot of the slides and had A LOT of laughs with her chums!

I'm off early today to get my car into the show. I think the power steering fluid pump has blown! Nothing like car trouble right before a big trip!

Good morning Melissa! Sorry to hear about the arm

Now for a bit of a plug for a certain Angel who has taken the time to write some trip reports;
I would like to see ALL the Angels responding to them. I give credit for a few Angels so far, but if we really want to encourage & prase her, we need to do it in the form of RESPONSES on her TR threads.
For someone to take the trouble to write a TR, it is the best encouragement to get feedback about them (IMHO)!
Not to mention she has stopped at 3 & might need the encouragement to continue
On a personal note, I started here on the DIS reading TRs & lurking on the TR board.
