We had a good day. DH's temperature is gone. I gave him his basket of goodies and he gave me a day at the local spa. Then we left the kids home with pizza and went out for steak. I still can't believe we've been married 19 years. Where did all the years go?

I'm still contemplating what to send Sandi. She is representing me at RiddleCON. I'm thinking about something for people to sign, like a journal or autograph book. Anyone sending a stuffed animal with their buddy?

Merry, I am sending something to be signed, (and it is NOT a stuffed toy) a disposable camera, and a sharpie fine point so my signers will get pictured while signing. I love the hubby gifts, both what you got him and what he got you. Good thinking to do do your day of femine fun after the kids are back at school. That time of year is hectic, for sure. We hit 115 on the patio again, but the humidity is still only about 18%. We are expecting monsoon to start tomorrow, we will have severe thunder and dust storms with very high (for us) humidity for about 8 weeks. Then back to normal.

Steph deserves a prize, 9- 8 year olds...............YIKES. Fisrt drink is on me, I hear there is a great AKL margarita at Victoria Falls Lounge......

SB - are you going to be at Illuminations Party on the 18th? I know LK4 will not, they only have one day left on old tix and want to use them for MGM. I am finalizing head count soon.
I can't afford to buy new chairs, I'm retired, and saving my $$$ for more important things! Besides, the fabric cost me less than $13.00, can't beat that. The curtain fabric was $40.00, but still cheaper than buying 9 new ready made valances.

I have a 7am appointment at the car dealer tomorrow. Call me stupid, but I only take the Mustang to the dealer for maintenance. Tomorrow we are doing the brakes, after 49K miles, I think they may need new pads. I will be reading Shelters of Stone, the latest in the Clan of the Cave Bear books. It is very slow reading, but I will get through it. I am finding it a little to modern for the time it is supposed to be in. After that, the PO to mail my package to Glo and then I guess the pool.

Maybe I will make it to the riddle tomorrow.

Got a busy day today, have to go mail my topper exchange, go to the grocery store, go to home depot, and clean the bathroom! As you can see, I am trying to delay it all.

Without saying much, she will be 'represented' and have something for all to sign If you like, I can PM you with all I have in mind for her

I think Steph was in charge of the buddies, right? You might ask her if there is someone who can be your buddy.

Marsha, good luck with teh storms. I hope they aren't too bad. And I don't think you are stupid... unless a car makes funny noises or doesn't run right, you don't need to do anything else but what you currently do for you car.

Morning all.

E!, I had to go out at midnight last night and roll up the shades on the patio. Max was barking his fool head off and when I went to tell him to get his fat dog butt in the house, I heard the wind chimes and saw that one of the shades was flapping in the breeze. We get used to it, it's our bad weather! We had lightning, too, but I don't think it rained. Untill I go outside this am and smell the air, I won't know. It's already 95 so there is no trace of water!

Off to breakfast and the long wait at the service lane.

Well, no brakes to replace! I still have plenty left on them, they say. I did get the oil changed, I was only 400 miles over due for that. It was anther hot one, and we are getting some wind, but not too bad. Our official low temp last night was 96 at the airport! Right now it's 105 on my patio at 8:20 pm. Y'all really need to come out here and find out just how hot it is. It did not rain here last night. These storms are really different from East Coast thunderstorms, we may get lightning for several hours and no thunder, and no rain. Or we will get a huge dust storm with lightning or without, or we might get a down pour for a half hour. Or, it will rain hard 3 miles away and they will have intense winds and lots of damage, and all we get is the viewing. The lightning is something to see, and of course the wind is the worst thing because most of the electical wires are above ground, so often 40 or 50 poles will be knocked over all together. They fall like dominoes. And sometimes we get things called micro bursts, they are like mini tornadoes, very strong down drafts, in 1999 on came through our back yard, across the main street to the municipal airport, flipped over several planes and tore up lots of roofs, a couple of the tract mansions were totally roofless, all in less then 10 minutes. Because of our normally nice weather, we have a lot of "RV Resorts" (trailer parks) in the city, and there has been lots of damage to them. We would have been in the true monsoon season on Tuesday, but the dew point fell below 55 so the weather people have put it off till tomorrow or friday. Sheesh, weather rules!

Steph, only a couple of more days, then you can start packing!

Gail, tell Matt to keep up the good work. I love little league baseball. It is so much more fun than the pros.

Gaspode was going for 3 weeks, so I think she has till sometime next week before she is home.
