I'm looking forward to being a beach bum even if only for 4 days.

We got an invite yesterday in the mail from Temple University where DD will be this year. Bill Cosby is coming to speak!!
I would love to go hear him. The only problem is, I'll be driving home from Philly on that Tuesday morning and he is speaking on Friday morning.

Sandi, Bill Cosby is a great speaker as well as comedian. He is involved in Lakeland Terriers, so I met him once when I went to the "Garden" for the Westminster dog show. His guards tried to whisk him away, but he stopped to shake hands and talk dogs a bit.

Trying to get last minute work things accomplished so that I can leave on Saturday with a clear head! My boss called a last minute meeting tomorrow in CT so that will cost me tomorrow for packing/wrapping up loose ends....I can't WAIT to be on that plane!!!

The saga of the rocks continues! Last night when I returned home from teaching, there was a pile of rocks at the end of my driveway. Unfortunately, they aren't as big as the ones they took.

Good Morning, All!

Lovely, humid, cloudy, damp day AGAIN!!!! How many is this??? I've lost count!

SPB and I had a great time. Unfortunately, we had to skip the Cheesecake Factory. I had a hair appointment I couldn't break at 7. Gotta keep up that image!!!! LOL LOL LOL

Me, host a mini meet? Keep dreaming, John. I don't even GO to mini meets. My meets are micro meets! LOL LOL LOL

Sandy....when you think about it....and when it gets closer....we need to discuss a rendezvous spot. Do you want to spend the day on the beach? Or brekkie? Or lunch?

Today is another lazy day. My BIL's wedding is on Saturday ..... Matt's in the wedding and I have last minute shopping to do so he looks like the charming dude that he really is! LOL LOL LOL

Gail....we don't need a meterologist on this thread.....we need a MIXOLOGIST!!! Still applying for the job???

Hope he doesn't do what MY Matt did just 2 days before he was to be in a wedding last Fall....he decided to trim his own hair! We discovered it in the evening and had to beg our way into SuperCuts before they closed to repair the damage!!

I'm sure Lew would be glad to be our meterologist/mixologist...although I'm the margarita-maker in the family!!! He said he'll check in with some weather prognostications this evening.

Matt's hair is a wreck from all the chlorine to begin with. I don't even know WHAT to do with it. And it's already short so cutting it off means.......NO HAIR!!

Not all kids Diane. My DD cut her hair 2x earlier this year. After the first time (which I almost fainted), I took her to my girlfriends salon and got it fixed. About a week later, DD decided it needed trimmed again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had my girlfriend have a little talk w/ her about not cutting our own hair.

John - take your time w/ that package. My b'day is in October, so maybe you can shoot for that!

Gina and Sandy - sounds like your mini-meet went well. We want pictures!

Gail - the SB and LK families are leaving this Saturday and probably coming back the following Saturday. Should be an interesting trip.

Valerie - I haven't even thought of packing yet. Probably won't start until Friday. It's much easier when you can shove things in a van.

Diane - did you tell them you want the rocks at the new place? I think it is the least they can do.

Forgot to mention that I am taking the kids to Kennywood today. My neighbor and her kids are going too. DH doesn't have anymore days to take off. Keep your fingers crossed that it doesn't rain. The sun is out for now.

ANOTHER gray and humid day here.

Yes, Gail, the kids were still speaking when they got home. DS fell asleep before dinner. Had to wake him up. DD was dragging too. They were both quite subdued when they left today.

Melissa, which AP classes are David taking? Sarah took AP U. S. History and AP English 11 (I forget which one that is) last year. This year she is taking AP English 12 (the other one) and AP Statistics.

Gina-It's so cool that you're getting to meet a bunch of Angels one on one for some chatting & eating! I'm envious! I'd be really jealous if you went to the Cheesecake Factory!! Good Luck to Matt in the wedding. The twins were flower girl/ring bearer in 4 weddings when they were little (4 or 5) becasue they were a cute little matched set.

LK & SB-I'm relieved that you were both spared yesterday ut my heart goes out to those people who lost their jobs. I know how it feels & it's pretty scary.
SB-Have fun at Kennywood!!

Merry-I know exactly what you mean about a smokin' checkbook at registration! I have to take the twins on Thursday....I'll have writer's cramp in my hand by the time I'm done

Gail-It's very nice of Lew to give all of the WDW bound Angel's a weather report.......I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's gonna be a very one!!

Diane-Glad that yuo solved the Mystery of the Disappearing Rocks......just wish the new ones were as large as the old ones & had been delivered to the new place.

E!-The Dis was moving s-l-o-w-l-y for me yesterday too!!

My DH got our bedroom primed last night & I'm gonna paint it today........hopefully I can get a lot of it, if not all of it, done today.
