Honey, I'm home!!

Just checking in briefly to say hi. I will come back tomorrow and try to catch up on the 20 pages I missed. I see Gaspode is back now too.

DD needs to phone line and I have laundry to do.

See you in the morning.

...3rd place is DEFINITELY something to be proud of!!! Not EVERY team can even say THAT!! W-T-G!!

Well there was the camel riddle the other day, and someone said something about riding a camel in an earlier part of thie life, and how bad camels breath was. So then there was some kind of suggestion for breath mints for the camel...... it was not pretty. And since we have been duley chastised for giving hints (which I am not really really really needing ASAP) and answers to those in need (not me or SB, that's for sure) we have been asking for mints!!!! Not to worry, after you hang with us for a while, you'll get it on the first go round. If you play the riddle daily, it helps. Even if you can't get the answer, we lots of times talk about the same thing here and there, sometimes forgetting which thread we are replying on! Wait till you get into AIM chat with us, it flies!

Gail, just think, you won't have to ignore Mrs Snooty Baseball mother anymore. Congrats to Matt and his team and coaches for going as far as they did.

Carol, how were the outer banks? I hope you had a great time, and I hope DH gets the cable modem hooked up soon for you.

I am trying not to get my suitcases out for my WDW trip, but they are calling. I already made my lists, and I think I could get everything I need packed tomorrow, at least I have so many clothings that I can pack for 12 days and not miss anything!

Have a wonderful evening, or actually night. See you all later!

Glad to see that my name-twin has returned. Glad you had a good trip and I'm looking forward to the pics.

Hey Carol. Glad to see you're back, too. Hope you had a great trip.

3rd place is nothing to be ashamed of. Tell Matt we all said congratulations. Job well done.

I think I'm the one who suggested mints for the camels. We had a camel riddle one day and a mint riddle another day. Both were impossible to solve, or so it seemed, so I lumped them together. Besides, camels need mints, I'm sure.

I guessed marriage today, as well. The other riddle was beyond me. Couldn't ever get it, but I've been very busy. Took the kids to get school supplies. I know, it's early. But the lists were out, so I thought we'd stock up while they had what the kids needed.

My mom came home and so the dog went home. So DD is through watering at grandma's. One less job for me to be involved in. I think the pet sitting for our neighbor ends this weekend, too.

My guys are going to work on a Scout project at a local high school tomorrow. I think they are building a ramp to a classroom. Hope they can get it done early. It's getting up to 104 tomorrow. They were told to wear long sleeves and pants. I don't think so! I'm not going, that's for sure.

I'm tired. Got up early because DS had a driving lesson today. He finishes drivers ed next week and will attempt to take his test. Having a car and not being able to drive is hard, but we don't want to pay the insurance. Right now it costs $300 every 6 months to insure the car. When he becomes THE driver of the car it goes up to $1000 every 6 months. With driver's ed, good grade discount and a safe driver program discount it goes down to ONLY $880 every 6 months. Isn't that incredible? Yikes. I keep wondering what we will pay when DD starts to drive.

Night all. Talk to you tomorrow.

Sorry SB!!! Don't know how that happened but you should be able to PM me now :)

Cya,
Gaspode

Wow ... you miss a day and you miss a lot !!

Welcome home Melissa and Carol ..... hope you both had super vacations !

Gail - congrats to Matt and his team for doing so well in the tournament .... and he did score that winning run so he'll always have that to remember !.......and if I had only known about the lobster last night I would have been up there in no time :-) ... and I saw on the riddle thread that you're coming to CT next week ... when I'm leaving CT for vaca ...... being so close we will hook up some time !

Thanks for all the good wishes for Dad ...... he's home and resting comfortably now - Mom left me a message late last night so I'll call and get the scoop today (it's only 6:45 am now so I think I'll let them sleep in a little ;) )

Hugs to you Kimmar .... my dad just turned 72 last month.

Today is my company picnic ...... it's at one of those "outing" kind of places w/ a pool, shuffleboard, badminton ,volleyball, baseball fields .... and of course the food ! It will be my first time there so it should be fun checking it out .... I'll try and check in tonight when I get home ......

Have a great Saturday everyone !

Morning Angels, and the MIA-MWLT,
Finally, camp is over.....it was quite a week. NOW, we're well into the mix of race weekend here in NH.
Not much time to chat, off to sell raffle tickets for a go-cart, and then to the Busch race this afternoon.

Catch you all on Monday!!!!!

Incredible? it's outrageous!! I think I'd have to switch insurance companies for sure. In fact, I did switch insurance companies when my DS started to drive. I left Allstate and went with Erie. They were much more reasonable.
My DS is still on my insurance, he has his own car, (but in my name) and his insurance is $1050 a year. He pays it, I don't pay it. That's with full coverage.
I don't blame you with not wanting to pay those rates. I wouldn't want to either!! I would very seriously get other quotes. That's what I did and I saved a ton of money.

Welcome Back Carol and Melissa!!

Gail, Congrats to Matt's team for a great Season! (He's always going to remember hitting that winning run and so will you!)
I really miss those baseball summers! Gee, never thought I'd say that! lol
My group ride this week isn't until tomorrow morning so I have no excuse not to clean this house today. Sombody give me one Quick!!:teeth:

Good morning!!!!

Heading off to the store since we're pretty much out of food. Then things and stuff to do around here since we haven't been here much during the week.

THanks for all the kind words to Matt-man. While they were disappointed last night they certainly were proud for making it as far as they did. Ironically the team that topped them last night gave them their ony other loss, on the first day of the tournament.

Welcome back Carol!!!!!!

Should I be concerned? We're heading to CT next weekend and Sandy is leaving CT........then the following weekend when we'll be in MD Miss Carol is leaving MD......;)

Have a great day everyone!

Yay Carol and Melissa are now home!!!!!! Glad to have you both back :)

Morning Angels. Having difficulty typing today. Tell you more later after I get back from the doctor.

Glad your dad did okay, spb. Have fun today. The company picnic sounds like lots of fun. DH's work used to have those and I miss them.

Stephanie, have fun selling tickets and at the race.

Sandi, I don't know if DH got other quotes. We've been with State Farm forever. I'll pass it on to him. Just seems like a lot of money simply because he's young. He's very careful and the car isn't even new!

Gail, I did the grocery shopping earlier in the week. I hate it, especially in the summertime. Not only do you have to shop, but haul everything in and put it all away. DS in an eating machine, so it seems like I'm always grocery shopping.

Hope everything is okay, Diane!

I had a couple of short nights. Feel much better this morning after a good night's sleep. DH's work got me up bright and early. They are having a system failure and there is no way to reach the Scouts. Guess I know what he'll be doing this afternoon.

I'm going to the local farmer's market this morning to pick up tomatoes and a watermelon. You never know what else will look good. I just love fresh produce this time of year.

Have a great Saturday, everyone.

:D

Afternoon Angels!

Welcome back Carol! Hope your trip went well.

Sandy - glad to hear your dad's o.k. now. Have fun at your picnic. I love to play volleyball at picnics.

Gail - people are leaving when you are arriving? Hmmmm..... Don't forget people... Last night, Gail said she will have a lobster meet at her house!!! you did say that Gail, right?!

LK - did you make it back from Six Flags yet?

Marsha - how hot is it out there? I was just reading our paper and it was saying the Phoenix area is having a major heat wave.

Well, my DH just left for Louisiana for one week. He has some weapons training for his job. Sounds like a vaca to me! Actually, it WILL be a vaca for me! Sometimes you just need that break from one another.

Enjoy the day All!

Woo boy! A lot to catch up on.

Thankfully, we are back on cable connection now, and on the new Dell.

Re: T-shirts, I wear a size medium.

Diane, sorry you were so sick. Hope you are recovering.

To all the crafty Angels--- Steph's, AJ's room looked great. Marsha, nice window toppers. Sandi - great quilt. I, myself, am craft impaired.

Congratulations to--- Aunt Kinmar on her new Aunt status and 3000 posts. SB on 400 posts. LK on 2000 posts.

I am so glad that Steph's box arrived from Baboo and the Angel exchange is now complete and everyone came through with their boxes. So, when does the next one start?

Sandy, hope your dad's hip does do that again.

I am not going to try to read all of last week's riddles but I did get some references to camels, mints, and marriages that may need explaining.

Glad to be back. Maybe I will post a mini-trip report.

Welcome home, Carol! I have not been well for the past 2 weeks. Still not up to par, but trying not to think about it. I sure wish I could go to Riddle Con! I am quite sure that would perk me right up!

Melissa, that's who I had, State Farm!! (I have no clue why I said All State! lol) And high prices is the reason I left them and went with Erie.

Hello All!!
Melissa & Sandi-UGH! I am dreading dealing with the teenager car insurance nightmare.....my twins are 14 now so it won't be too long beore they'll be driving:eek:
Lorraine-I am positive I heard/read Gail say she would host Lobster-con!!
Carol-We were a chatty bunch while you were gone!
Diane-I hope you're feeling better ASAP!
Gasppode-Are you all caught up with RMC yet???
IT IS SOOOO GOOD TO HAVE YOU GUYS BACK!!!
Can we open presents yet???????? pleeeeeeease???? before people start leaving again...???

I sure wish some of you were going to be at WDW when I am there! I just miss Stephanie.

Yes, I am back from Six Flags. It was soooo expensive for everything. Glad we got free admission tickets from work at least.

Gail, you are hosting a dinner meet? That is so kind of you. In addition to the biscuits, I make a yummy calorie free (ha!) Toll House pie. We'll be over soon.

Diane - are you okay today? I think you said earlier it was hurting you to be typing. :(

Welcome home Gaspode and Carol! I agree with Lars - let's schedule that chat soon for the opening of the mystery gifts.
