Why not??? It's fun!!!

I am heading to be y'all. Drugs are kicking my rear and making me very sleepy!

We went to the high school tonight to see the band perform. It was the final day of band camp. David's section won the marching competition. They get bragging rights for the year, along a trophy and dinner and a movie together. He was proud. Okay, so was mom. LOL!

Then they got the parents out there and made us march. I have no marching ability. In fact, I can't walk and chew gum. You can imagine how well I did. David and his friends were laughing their heads off at mom stumbling through the routines. I'm hiding next year or working at it in advance!

Tomorrow is our last day of summer. The kids have already asked me if we are doing something fun. I'm not feeling very original. We'll have to see what tomorrow brings.

I'm off to bed. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Good morning!!!

How about all the angels come out and help you next year at band camp Melissa???? We could show those kids!!! :D

Good morning, angels! I could help with band camp! I have done plenty of that! I have an instrumental music degree (suposed to be a band director). Unfortunately, right now I can't do much of anything with this weakness!

Got a new scarier diagnosis yesterday. They went through all the test results and spent an hour scratching heads about it, and decided I have Myasthenia Gravis. This really fits, because it has a lot of the same symptoms of Guillian-Barre and Fibro, but has the added feature of breathing difficulty. Since that has been my main complaint, they hit on this one. Maybe at least they are taking the breathing thing seriously now though. I have to go in for an echo cardiogram this morning to do some more ruling out. They also did a blood test yesterday that should confirm diagnosis.

Good morning all :)

Merry, congrats to David's section! You should be proud of that!

Hi CS :)

I am with Diane and Gail! We should all go help out! I lead our band for 2 years so I have some experience there ;)

Diane, I will admit I have never heard of Myasthenia Gravis. But no matter what, I am glad that they are taking your breathing problems seriously. When do you think they'll have a firm diagnosis from the blood test? Hang in there!!! {hugs}

Good morning Angels

Diane, {{{{{hugs}}}}} to you. You have certainly been through a lot. I hope you can go on your trip and enjoy it and just not think about your health for a week.

Tonight our marching band is having a Parent's Night. This is something new with the new director. He writes, "I would like to invite all of the parents over to the school to see a run through of the show. We may even have another very short activity planned."

Now I am scared! Diane, Elaine, and Gail, can you come with me tonight? (And no uniforms, these are kids.)

LOL, Carol! Get those marching shoes warmed up!

I have no idea. I was hoping for something definative before we leave, but since that is day after tomorrow, I doubt it. Myasthenia is more like Guillian-Barre, except that it isn't a one time temporary thing like that, but something that stays with you and is very difficult to treat . None of the treatments sound good at all, and don't necessarily work. ARGHHH! All of this has my psyche in an uproar too! The only good thing is that I am sleeping a bit better.

I'm on my way with clarinet in hand!!!!!

Diane I did a quick search on it, and while it doesn't sound fun, there were some hopeful aspects to it. I saw that they said you can go into a remission and I really hope that happens for you. Some of the treatments don't look fun at all.... really wishing you all the best!!

Hey, I'll bring my old "go go" boots from when I did it and my whistle too!!! This could be fun :teeth:

Diane-
I just sent you a PM!
I just finished reading a huge book on Myasthenia Gravis!! I know a lot more about it than I did about any of the other things they thought you might have. My dearest friend in the whole world has MG! She also has Fibromyalgia. She has known she has MG for about 5 or 6 years now.

Good morning Angels!

Diane, I hope they get a confirmed diagnosis that sticks so the proper treatment can be ordered.

I played hooky from work yesterday because it was my oldest DD's first day of K5. We drove her to school and picked her up, but Mrs. AlabamaAlan needed me to help occupy her all day so she didn't think about it. :p

Did we get our final boxes unpacked? Noooo...we went to Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, and Toys R Us and speant more money than a family who has not yet sold their house should!

Today I drove Lela to the pickup point in our city where the shuttle van picks her up. It's some extra driving, but I actually got to work earlier so all is well.

Y'all enjoy your band get togethers. I was one of those guys who did not play ball nor in the band but walked around behind the bleachers a lot. ;)

Morning Everyone.
(((HUGS))) for you Diane, hope that things are resolved soon for you.

Not much going on here, enjoying the beginning of the fall-like weather in NH....almost time for apple picking!
