Sorry I missed the fun today....it's entirely too busy at work and life is picking up too. EB has soccer practice and tomorow night is her camp show.

Hope things went well for Carol tonight. Both my high school and college bands were large and we had a lot of flutes & piccolo's. My college roommate played piccolo and used to love to just put it in her sleeve to keep it warm during football games. Of course I chose the only instrument that can't be played while wearing gloves (unless the fingers are cut out) and chose to go to school in New England. Brrrrrrr.... I also played bass clarinet but only in a concert band.....could you imagine marching with one of those???

Fingers are crossed that you're feeling better on your trip Diane.....and also for Melissa with her job possibility!!

Not only do I have vintage jeans, I have a vintage body to go along with them.

I didn't have to march or conduct tonight. The practice field doesn't have lights and the football field didn't have lines painted yet, so they had to move indoors and only play music. No marching. I lucked out.

Only 2 more pages to go. I vote for "Lost in the Forest."

Carol, you got lucky! I told David about my friends coming to my rescue next year and he said you are all welcome. He only asks that we don't wear the uniform to his school. What a party pooper.

Gina, I'm wondering if we should allow you to do our thread TITling? LOL!

I've had spotty internet service today. DH thinks it may be due to the worm that is going around. We don't have it, but he wonders if our cable service is having trouble because of it.

Got word today that some of our best friends are considering going on the Disney cruise with us in March. We'd have so much fun together. Cross your fingers that they decide they can go.

Melissa, I have a guitar, too. DH got it for me several years ago. I have a crooked and crippled left arm from a birth injury. After I took a few lessons it became evident to me that I couldn't push hard enough to form the cords. Allen keeps saying that I can have it reverse-strung and play with the other hand. I guess several famous guitarists play that way. I just never have gotten around to it. David and Allen each play the guitar and they have 3 guitars between the 2 of them (one is electric). Do you think they could teach me the chords if I try to learn backwards?

I've sent most of my vintage jeans to goodwill this summer. It's nice that I don't have them laying around to taunt me with their skinny waists.

I brought my car in today for 60000 mile service, plus got something else fixed and new tires ... needless to say the credit card melted during processing ..... well when I got close to home
(and turned the radio down and rolled down the windows) I could swear there is now a woodpecker living under my hood .....
GRRRRR.................so now I've got to call them tomorrow to see when I can bring it in again .... and it's so inconvenient (an hour away from work) so it's going to be a pain ...... you think you're all set and boom ...... life's little aggravations ..... ok - vent over !


Now let me go get my clarinet ..........

Merry - I think it is definitely worth a shot! I've only had one lesson and I adore it. My guitar is electric, it is beautiful, I love it!! If both your DS and DH play I bet they could teach you! Go for it!!!!

Hmmm, I don't mind what the name of the new thread is, but do you think another 150 pages will take us properly into Autumn or are we being a bit quick on that? Shouldn't we have some kinda summer/autumn one? We are all too chatty for 150 pages to last that long!!! LOL

I'm here, but I'm sure not awake yet. I'm glad Lars is awake because I am a little afraid of her early morning picture.

It's the first day of school. It'll take me a few days to get back into my routine. I HATE getting up early. Anyone else miss their kids when they go back to classes? Back to school has a way of making me forget how much they bicker over the summer. At least it will be quiet during the day.

Morning Angels and TMWLT! Looks like you guys were busy yesterday. It will take me all morning to catch up!

I have another CT scan this morning. Still no definitive diagnosis, and no treatment. That is SOOOOOO frustrating!

In the meantime, my muscles are getting weaker. At least the breathing seems to stay about the same. Had an echo cardiogram yesterday. I think they are trying to rule out ANYTHING. Today's CT is of the abdomen. I have to drink 4 glasses of that contrast stuff!!!!! UGH!

I did order an electric cart for our trip. Called Member services at DVC, and got one where they have free delivery and pick up to the resort. It will be waiting for me when we arrive, and they will pick it up when we leave for the airport to come home.

Kind of worried about my stamina. Last night I went to a dinner theater, and I had to leave at intermission. Just too exhausted to stay. I have always been an on the go type of person, and it is hard to change after all these years. I just hope the latest thought on diagnosis is wrong.
Sorry this was so long. Now I have to go back and read the thread!
