She's more than ready to get rid of it and did once only to have it fail and have another emergency surgery to put it back in. This started 3 years ago and has involved numerous emergency surgeries, hopefully next week will be one of the last (they'll also do a plastic surg to fix the skin graft that got screwed up)

Brenda, I'm so glad that the news was good (mostly) and that you will be able to freely partake in all F&W goodies!

I scheduled my scope for after our trip. When I told my Mom, she had a fit! It seems she knows of 3 people who were scoped by my doctor & ended up in the hospital with perforated colons! So I cancelled the appt., I really liked this dr., but that has me freaked out. So now I'm hunting for a new GI.

Michelle, I'm so sorry you won't be joining us!

The funny thing is the effect my mom has on me compared with Jay. Usually after I have a test or whatever Jay is there and I'm calm and relaxed and generally pleasant.

Yesterday after they woke me up (I must have been tired because I wasn't even awake when the doctor came by) I was cranky and rather short with the staff and my mom. I've never been like that before ... it was weird and now I feel really bad about it.
