Hi Brenda!

How ya been?

Missing you again on yet another KK cruise.

Will we ever meet up?

Love reading anything you write:thumbsup2

ROSE!!!!

Are you going to be at WDW before the cruise at all? We could meet then; otherwise why don't you talk Bob into taking the western transatlantic from Barcelona to Florida next September? Then you and I could spend two weeks in the company of people who drink pepsi!

Dean and Deluca is selling chocolate covered bacon! I had to order some for Jason after hearing Chelsi rave about it. We're going to break it open next Friday night to start vacation off on just the right porky note. :lmao:

Hey, I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I know I don't post very often, but I keep up with all the fun!!!

Hey, Brenda, glad everything is going well. Keep healthy, you have a lot of fun, food and wine coming up soon!!! See you soon.

Hi Jeanne! Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the kind words. Tonight is the first night that I've pushed my stomach ... we're having creamy butternut squash soup, cheesees, and beer. :goodvibes

Hey all.. just checking in.
Got back late last night, today will be filled with laundry and unpacking. :sad1:

Will post pics and details as soon as I can. We had a blast!
Flying Fish - :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Abita Beer tasting - :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
Segway Tour - :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

But I think I need a vacation from my vacation.

Cathy

I feel that way everytime I come back from Disney!

Hello Friendies. That was the quickest week of my life. Seriously, I can't belive it's over and that I ate that much food. I've also never sweated that much in my whole life. It was ungodly for the first part of my trip.:faint: I'm going to start my trip report as soon as I upload my 2000 photos. (Wall*E was hardly camera shy:rolleyes:)

Just briefly, since I know lots of people are leaving before I can go into lengthy detail about my trip: the best food item I ate was in Buenos Aires, Argentina- Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Puree. Soooo good. The Fisherman's pie I got was also amazing, there was a whole lobster claw in it!:woohoo:

My Tequila tasting was a disaster. They didn't close down the bar, and there were drunk people in there screaming and we couldn't hear a thing.:sad2: Disneybride03, Racheltori, and I went and got our money back. I did however hear that the tasting on Friday went well though, so your Tequila Mileage may vary. Other seminars- Barcelona Tapas, Greek Wines, and Beam Dist. were great. The Beam guys were particulary funny. It wasn't straight bourbon, they made cocktails, so I was a little surprised by that.

All in all a good trip. I will never stay at Pop again, but that is a post for my trip report. I had some hits w/ the dining (Citricos, Jiko, Kouzzina) and some duds (Yak & Yeti, Narcooses) but I'm glad I went to each restaurant. My only regret is that I couldn't eat something at every booth. It's hard when you're solo and I'm thinking next year I might bring my brother to share food and booze with.

Welcome home Laura! Can't wait to read the trip report!

Hey gang, asking for good thoughts. I have a sprained ankle, great timing huh, 2 weeks from today I'll be on vacation.:sad2: I'm praying that if I take it easy, take my anti-inflammatory the doc gave me and elevate the darn thing I should be OK.

Oh, no, Kat! Just take it easy, and don't miss taking any of those anti-inflammatories....they do a world of good.

Laura - How odd about your Beam Seminar. Bob and I did one today and it was staright shots of Rye, Bourbon and small barrel bourbon. It was terrific, by the way!

Guess who was at my table at the Warren Brown Seminar this afternoon??

She had on a Bendy-Homer pin so I knew I should know her... :rolleyes1

Jordan!!! :thumbsup2

Did you enjoy Warren Brown's presentation? I thought he was just the nicest guy when we met him in 2006. He's so cute. :lovestruc

Elin:

I second all the comments about showing the Off Kilter guys' legs. But mostly Jamie, the lead singer/bagpipe player. I've gotta get me some of that fisherman's pie, too. And very cool that you met Jordan. :thumbsup2

Kathy:

Yikes! Heal quickly!!

Today was the Alzheimer's Memory Walk. I was up at the butt crack of ugly AM, as Chelsi might say. ;) Mostly because I forgot to take the donation envelope out of my desk at work yesterday. So I had to swing by the office this morning before heading to the Walk. I thought the irony of the situation was pretty good, though. The weather was terrific for the 5K walk, and I raised a nice tidy sum for the charity. :goodvibes

Later in the day, I bought cheese from Whole Foods, wine from WineStyles (not the greatest though), and some stuff from Costco. Not a bad day at all.

I did enjoy it. I was a little concerned because he comes across on TV as being somewhat ... boring! But he isn't. He was so funny. And so was his partner, Mary Myers. He shared the stage very nicely with her. Bob and I passed him on his way into Epcot tonight and he seemed to have recognized me from our front row table this afternoon. He looked right at me, smiled and said "Hello again!" I was impressed.

Although I didn't go to the Deen Bros. seminar this morning, look what I did do:

Bob was buying a cookbook around the corner from this book signing and I just turned around with my phone to catch a shot. Jamie leaned over and winked at me before continuing to greet the others in line. I was delighted by that little bit of closeness to "fame" as it were. It doesn't usually make an impression, but for some reason, he seemed like the real deal too.

They're showing Dr. Zhivago on Turner Classics ... I never get tired of watching this movie. :cloud9:

Good for you Lori! Even if you did have to see the butt crack:rotfl: and yes I do love the irony!

I'm off to bed - We have the airshow flying over for three days and the Blue Angles have buzzed our house 4 times - my cats are freaked and in the closet all day so they think it's party time at 3 am .. NIGHT ALL!

Hi all!!!

Just staying under the radar for the last few days...

Got really cold and we turned on the heat after me refusing to get out from under the toasty warm covers...

Now for all of you who are heading down to TROPICAL Florida... to drink FROZEN drinks... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: ;)

Love you all.... :grouphug:

Good for you! We also did some cheesing today ... I figured it would be a good test run for the stomach. Seems to be holding up OK so far. Now I've got to get back on to the treadmill tomorrow ... missed a whole week of exercise since last Sunday. :scared1:

Before I even read I looked at the picture real quick I thought it was Bob.

That's funny, I have also thought of Warren Brown as kind of dull. Nice to know.

Very nice photo of Jamie. Was his brother there?

Good for you!!! Getting up early is easy when it's for a good cause. My grandmother had alzheimers. So thank you for doing this. :goodvibes
