Lucky lady, how was the pie?:goodvibes

I can't wait to taste that. Hows the crowd? I wish it was time to be there already. Enjoy yourself are you going to do a live TR?

:sad2::sad2:
You people and your messed up priorities.:sad2:

How was Off Kilter? If you know what I mean.:cool2:

The pie was scrumptious... Off Kilter was even better.

Michele - it looks like I am doing a live (but delayed) TR! Unless I discover that I am having to pay for this internet access that is slow as molasses. The link is in my signature.

Hey Elin! How's that pie? I am not into lobster so I haven't thought of trying it. Is it lobstery?

And what is the deal with giving us a picture of Off Kilter where we can't see their legs? Okay, one leg. Four guys, one leg :sad2:

I'll probably be online tomorrow night unless the girls want to go sit around a bar somewhere till lord knows when...tough to do since they closed our bar.

Not lobster-y at all. Just seafood-y. I loved it. It was my lunch!

Where are you?? Will we see one another this week??

I will see if I can get more leg shots tomorrow...

Michele - the crowds got thicker and thicker as the day wore on. And to night was a zoo. I assume Monday it will let up a little bit. At least I am hoping that will happen!

We're leaving soon. Will miss my Friendies, but will look forward to hearing about everyone's trips or other adventures.

Gina--Sending very best wishes for a lovely wedding. :cloud9:

Brenda--Thinking of you and hoping all went well. :goodvibes

To everyone who won't be at the Bendy birthday party, we'll have to say cheers together from home on the 17th. :thumbsup2

Take care, Gin

Have a great trip Gin!

Well Friendies...

The decision has been made...

When Michael ended up in the hospital it put us back a whole lot at work and with our project, that I cannot take the time to go this year... :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

I am very sad about it because I had wanted to meet everyone very much...

So everyone is going to have to go and eat copious amounts of food and drink enough wine, beer and tequila to forget which country you are in at Epcot... :dance3: :dance3:

I will live vicariously through your TR's... and try not to drool all over my computer too much...

For those traveling soon... Godspeed and don't get caught... :lmao:

So sorry you have to cancel your trip, Michelle. But at least the rest of us that are staying home will have you to keep us entertained!:flower3:

Hi all! I was sleeping and finally woke up when Jay came home a few minutes ago.

The good news is that there is no additional ulcerations or bleeding. Took a biopsy anyway and will have those results next week but I'm sure there's nothing to worry about there.

The not-so-good news is that there's a build up of scar tissue which = narrowing through some areas of the intestinal tract. It happens to all of us IBD folks. Sometimes they will stretch the tissue during the colonoscopy procedure but that's not a permanent fix. So ... some day I guess I will be looking at surgery for partial resection but not until things get so bad that super colon blow is imminent. :lmao:

As for what's been causing the flares this months we're all clueless ... I haven't been on a regular sleep schedule and have been stressing at work a lot so I'm sure that's contributing. Also, even something as stupid as a cold or sinus infection (or even mother nature's curse) can set it off and two of those things were an issue at the beginning of the month (sorry if that's TMI!). And then there were Grimmie's words of wisdom: "Brenda, you just need to go see your regular doctor and get a happy pill." :confused3 :lmao:

So hooray for no steroids! Hooray for eating and drinking with impunity at WDW (I just need a bathroom map)!

Thanks for letting me ramble and thanks for the good thoughts.

Oh, and Briarmom ... how did you find this picture of me from last night??? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Glad to hear it was mostly good news, Bendy!

Well I have just checked in for ANOTHER flight.

Still considering that Kouzzina breakfast Sunday... with the Kona one Monday that's a lot more breakfast than I ever eat.

Have a great trip, Catherine....looking forward to your reviews!

I had the Lobster and Scallop Fisherman's Pie and watched Off Kilter for lunch today. :)

Elin, that sounds so yummy!

Well, thanks to my son the early bird getting me out of bed at 6:40 this morning, the house is already clean, and I've already persused all my daily websites. I think we are going to take the kids to the zoo today since the weather is going to be gorgeous today. Hope everyone has a great day!

Oh, and Brenda, I was thinking of you last night....I was watching Three Sheets on FLN and he was in Barcelona. So of course I could just picture Bendy in Barcelona this time next year, boozing it up just like the host was!

Welcome home Cathy - glad to hear you had a good time! :goodvibes

Heather ... I like Bendy Boozing in Barcelona ... followed with Tipsy on the Transatlantic. You may just have inspired me for a title for next year's trippie! :rotfl2:

Hello Friendies. That was the quickest week of my life. Seriously, I can't belive it's over and that I ate that much food. I've also never sweated that much in my whole life. It was ungodly for the first part of my trip.:faint: I'm going to start my trip report as soon as I upload my 2000 photos. (Wall*E was hardly camera shy:rolleyes:)

Just briefly, since I know lots of people are leaving before I can go into lengthy detail about my trip: the best food item I ate was in Buenos Aires, Argentina- Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Puree. Soooo good. The Fisherman's pie I got was also amazing, there was a whole lobster claw in it!:woohoo:

My Tequila tasting was a disaster. They didn't close down the bar, and there were drunk people in there screaming and we couldn't hear a thing.:sad2: Disneybride03, Racheltori, and I went and got our money back. I did however hear that the tasting on Friday went well though, so your Tequila Mileage may vary. Other seminars- Barcelona Tapas, Greek Wines, and Beam Dist. were great. The Beam guys were particulary funny. It wasn't straight bourbon, they made cocktails, so I was a little surprised by that.

All in all a good trip. I will never stay at Pop again, but that is a post for my trip report. I had some hits w/ the dining (Citricos, Jiko, Kouzzina) and some duds (Yak & Yeti, Narcooses) but I'm glad I went to each restaurant. My only regret is that I couldn't eat something at every booth. It's hard when you're solo and I'm thinking next year I might bring my brother to share food and booze with.

We always come home from Disney saying the same thing! Can't wait to hear all about your trip. :thumbsup2

Welcome back! The beef & chimichurri was my favorite from last year's festival (although it was sans skewer then). I think F&W is definitely better when you have a partner in crime to go through the booths with. With only a few exceptions, I pretty much split everything with Fred...although he's a lightweight with the wine so I have to take one for the team there. :rotfl:

Hi there!! :wave2: Wecome Back. It was wonderful meeting you.

Sounds like you had a great time. Too bad about the Tequila Tasting, but good you got your money back. It does get very loud in there. We are doing one on Friday, 10/23. We will see what happens. Maybe they will learn by their mistakes.

Hey, I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I know I don't post very often, but I keep up with all the fun!!!

Hey, Brenda, glad everything is going well. Keep healthy, you have a lot of fun, food and wine coming up soon!!! See you soon.

Hey gang, asking for good thoughts. I have a sprained ankle, great timing huh, 2 weeks from today I'll be on vacation.:sad2: I'm praying that if I take it easy, take my anti-inflammatory the doc gave me and elevate the darn thing I should be OK.

I'm definitely sending speedy recovery vibes your way. :goodvibes

Lots of good thoughts coming your way. 4 weeks later I'm still wearing my air cast and boot when I go to work or am out running around. I plan on being able to go without it in 2 weeks!!!!

So I go to my favorite liquor store, it's basically a super store for alcohol lovers :lmao:. Planned on picking up 2 inexpensive bottles of wine since I only had $30 in cash on me. Well you know how that goes right? What do I find hidden at the far end of the chardonney aisle right next to a bin of Kendall Jackson . . . . . Cakebread chardonney :scared1: They never have it, it sells out right after they put it out and they try and hide it so the Cakebread lovers get to buy it. There were 8 bottles just waiting for me to buy.

No I didn't buy all 8 :rotfl: (but I wish I could have) I did get 2 and I already had one at home in my wine rack so guess what we are drinking tonight :cheer2: For some reason it's really hard to find Cakebread wines here. My favorite wine shop near work usually has a bottle or 2 available but I try to avoid going there since I can't get out without spending a fortune on wine and cheese!

So tonights dinner is parmesan crusted chicken tenders (thanks Giada), garlic mashed potato, asparagus, salad and a great bottle of wine!

elevate ... lots of ice ... eat ibuprofen ... think positive thoughts ... catch pixie dust and good vibes coming your way from all the friendies. Rinse, lather, and repeat.

Thanks everyone!:grouphug: I'm thinking this is a mild sprain because I wasn't in enough pain to even keep me from going to the gym and doing more damage this past week.:rolleyes1 Anyway, should I be taking ibuprofen in addition to the anti-inflammatory the doc gave me?

Hi Brenda!

How ya been?

Missing you again on yet another KK cruise.

Will we ever meet up?

Love reading anything you write:thumbsup2

ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory; my guess is you have a prescription strength version ... like I have naproxen from my doctor for arthritis but I don't take it all the time and will sometimes just pop advil instead. Of course, with my digestive issues I shouldn't take it at all because it can cause bleeding if you take too much for too long, but when I have to make a choice betwen actually moving and using my hand or running the risk of a bleeding ulcer I'll take the ulcer every time. ;)

Just take care of yourself, Kat! :goodvibes
