:banana:Finally got dates for F&W:banana:. We will be there10/22-10/26. My 40th birthday is on 10/24:goodvibes. We will also celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary:hug:.

That is very exciting, Michele!

Bendy's a happy girl ... all the nametags are done for the meet and all the gifties are wrapped. The only thing left to do is to finish filling the treasure chest of booze and packing it all up for next month.

BTW ladies ... once you unwrap your giftie of choice if you find orange hair it's from Pete. He insisted on helping me this afternoon ... hopefully the teeth marks are minimal. :rotfl2:

No problems with pet hairs. Remember, I live with three dogs. :rotfl: Don't you love when they help. Our Jack loves to help make his kennel up, when we go in and fix up the blankets, he has to stand next to us, right in our face and watch. We usually put a small blanket on him and he "holds" it until we need it. ;)

By the way, today is my 42nd birthday. Think that has anything to do with it?! :rotfl2:

I know I'm a day late Jamie, but...

:rotfl: I have a pug. Need I say more? Pete's lovely orange hair will not phase me in the least.

I officially start my new job tomorrow. The best part is instead of driving an hour to get to work it will be 10 minutes!:cool1:

Congratulations! Hope you have a great first day!

So I went to Costco today, and they were showcasing Kirkland brand wines. They sold me on the Cabernet, and I took a bottle home to try out.

Damn. I need to go back and buy a couple more bottles, even though they are $21 a hit. This stuff rivals some of the more expensive cabs I've tried. I hate that Costco showcases items that disappear.

I still don't know how to locate that bison pastrami I loved.

Hmmmm...I may have to take a trip to Costco. I love Cabernet. Maybe since it is their brand it won't be so apt to disappear like so many of their other items. That irks me too...we get hooked on something and then we can no longer get it. It just doesn't seem right.

Congrats, Laura! I hope you have a great first day!

Is it just me, or is "Fresh and Easy" a terrible name for a store?

I mean, I would not want to be walking around carrying a bag or anything else that said "Fresh and Easy."

Wow....that is just a horrible name for a store. Leave it to the Brits to come up with something that awkward....although I must admit that Tesco was a life-saver when we lived in Asia....it was the only place that I could find some western food products.

Thank you to all my friendies for the birthday wishes!! I have now grown large with cake and the celebrating must end.:goodvibes

Heather, you just made my night telling me that I can order bread pudding at Kona!!!The more I thought about why I wanted to go to 'Ohana, I kept coming up with dessert! :rotfl2: I think I might just make the adr for Kona and try the special order.

I have to admit I thought facebook was very bizarre when I first joined...too much information out there on too many people (we joke that my SIL posts everytime she toots!)

I hope that works out for you.....I know I've seen it on at least 2 recent dining reports. It sounds like you to just have to ask your server about it because they don't list it anywhere on the menu.

Yeah, a two-for-one celebration!

Lori, I may have to check out those Kirkland wines.....I haven't tried them, but love all the other Kirkland products!

bison pastrami? that sounds interesting ... where did you first find it?

EDITED: as I read your post again I think Costco must be where you first found the pastrami. Sweet Jeebus ... I really am losing IQ points. I know I was a lot smarter three years ago than I am now ... I wonder what happened? Too much booze???

That's ok. You're allowed to have a few "V-8 Moments". ;)

And there's a potential problem about talking about Costco. It seems they have those traveling showcase people who go from store to store to hawk their wares, only to never return. It's like the Costco Bermuda Triangle. What might be at my Costco may never show up at a Costco across the country. Sounds like they're using Trader Joe's mentality. TJ's is famous for having regional items not found in other parts of the country. :headache:

Well, I just looked at the pictures posted on Facebook of dh's high school class reunion last week (my class was invited, too, but he just went to the get together after the football game). All I can say is DO I LOOK THAT OLD, TOO????? I didn't even recognize most of these people and I went to school with them for 6-12 years!! Man, I hate getting older.

By the way, today is my 42nd birthday. Think that has anything to do with it?! :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday!!!

I'm sorry I'm late, I was at the hospital yesterday visiting my new niece (who shares your birthday )

I went to my 20th way back when... I graduated in '82...

All I can say is most of the women looked pretty good... the men.... I tried to win the "I still look like I did in high school" contest, but that went to Therese McVeigh cause she looked EXACTLY like her high school picture - even after having TWINS the month before... :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

I'm still getting used to seeing them on FB... but it has helped for me to realize that I'm as old as they are...

OHHHH and some of my classmates are GRANDPARENTS!!!!! :upsidedow :upsidedow

You know the strange thing is people are finally getting to know me - I guess I was very shy back then... :rolleyes1

I was the class of '89 (highschool) and some of my classmates are GRANDPARENTS :scared1:

I do love catching up with old friends on FB and am actually closer to some now than I was back then.

I officially start my new job tomorrow. The best part is instead of driving an hour to get to work it will be 10 minutes!:cool1:

:woohoo: Very cool! Congrats!

Thanks, Chelle! Congratulations on the new niece! 13 is a lucky number!

I was just thinking about you because I've been playing around on the dining site and can't get my reservation retrieved. I thought "next year I'm going to book with Chelle!". I hope the ADR system isn't acting crazy on Wednesday; I'm just ready for this to be over! Do you know how easy it was to get adrs at Disneyland????

A Belated Happy Birthday to Jamie!!

Hi Brenda :goodvibes

Long time no chat!

I was just going to quote your fabulous report about the cheese plate at the Contemporary.. I think it was in Argle Bargle or FooFah??? :confused3 but I can't remember and your links are GONE! :scared1:

Help a brotha out, would ya???

Haven't been able to get my reservation to pull up all day on the dining site--E202.....code only. I thought it would be a good idea to practice, but it's just making me think the system will do this when I'm sitting there at 3 am.

Depending on where you end up in Orange County I would have various suggestions. Do you know around what parts you will be?

In Montecito (right below Santa Barbara) there is a great italian restaurant called Tre Lune. We eat there for lunch every time we go up to visit the in laws. I am an east coast 1/2 italian girl who is hard to impress with italian food and I love this place. :lovestruc They do take reservations, and you just might find yourself at a table next to someone famous. Please remember not to stare at Rob Lowe.:thumbsup2

I meant to get on here earlier to thank you, but your suggestion is just perfect!

The night we're in Santa Barbara is my DH's birthday, and Italian is his absolute favorite. I've already checked out the menu, and my only problem is going to be figuring out what to have!

Thanks again! :worship:

what is up with WDW website now???

it won't let me bring up existing ADRs now unless I log into the website (which I have no need or desire to do). All I wanted to do was cancel an ADR ... wankers.

It was annoying me the other day too. With all the amazing things Disney is able to do, you'd think they'd be able to make their website better, though I have to give them credit, it is better then it was last year.

I've been making and canceling ADRS since July and it's never asked me for a login to retrieve an ADR ... it used to be the ADR# and the phone number. I just had to make a long distance call to cancel but was still able to book online for the replacement.

It's stupid ... they should just make up their minds about what they want to do and then do it. I'm just annoyed ... had to bring work home ... Federer just lost the US Open ... I have to get up early for a meeting tomorrow ... wah wah wah wah wah!!! :rotfl2:
