Sounds like you had a great time! And I thought your pictures were good, and looked yummy. :goodvibes

I have always wanted to try Boddington's, ever since I've seen it featured on an episode of Friends. But I can't find it for sale anywhere without buying a whole case, and I just don't drink that much beer.

They serve it at WDW! At Rose & Crown. That is the first place we ever had it, actually at the F&W Fest a number of years ago. It is a very different beer. But you ought to be able to get one the next time you are in Epcot! :thumbsup2

I was hoping someone would say that! :) Everytime in Epcot I'm always so destracted by Grand Marnier slushies that I never think to look for beer. I'll have to remember to check this time. Unless I forget and am once again running for the Grand Marnier slushie. ;)

Hmmmm... I manage to do both on our trips. :rolleyes1

Must be button day. Ours arrived today, too. Thanks a bunch, Brenda! We'll have such fun wearing them!:banana:

The game started 90 minutes later than it was supposed to due to rain delays ... we had a good time but left after 5 innings (it was already 10PM). Now that we're home the score has changed from 0-0 to 10-0 Cardinals, so at least the good guys are winning even if we didn't get to see any of it. We had a good time with our friends, so that counts for a lot!

You guys wanna now how bad traffic in Stinktown is? It's a 45-mile drive from our house to the stadium - on the drive downtown we were delayed by seven different traffic incidents ... four accidents and three stalls all on the same stretch of highway. There were two more on our way home from the stadium tonight. :headache:

I sometimes wonder if the problem is that many of these people have family trees that don't fork. ;););)

:rotfl: No I think most of those people live down here with us!

Sorry you didn't get to see the best of the game.

We had a good time with better than average food and beer last night. It was our first foray into a new “authentic British Pub” in our ‘burg.

Looks like a great place!

I also wanted to wish you a very Belated Happy Anniversary! 36 years is impressive! We are a few years behind you, we'll make 33 yrs. It is truly surprising that we have managed to get this far, with no real bodily harm to either one of us!

Gina ... make your ice cream or sorbet mixture 24 hours before you're going to use the machine. Chill the mix in the refrigerator so that it's nice and cold - this also gives your machine time to get good and frozen. Then the next day make your frozen goods - it will make a huge difference in the texture and taste of your dessert (we learned the hard way).

DULY noted! Thank you for the advice Brenda! I would probably wait till last minute and have a sloshy mess!

ain't it the truth!

Happy to know people are receiving their buttons ... I mailed a ton out on Monday so I would guess most of you will have them sometime this week. :goodvibes

Our department was soooo quiet today. :lmao: Everyone was worn out from last night. We're obviously getting too old to go out on weeknights.

Is anyone watching the Next Food Network Star? We just had dinner at one of the chef's restaurant. It is called Graham Elliot and the chef is Graham Elliot Bowles. It was really good, starting with a lollipop made of Mousse of Fois gras, dipped in a pop rocks candy. Instead of bread, a basket of popcorn that was sprinkled with parmesan and truffle oil.

I ate duck with black rice that was great. Everyone thought the dinner was great. I'm not good at descriptions, so here is the web site:

The hubby and I always watch Next Food Network Star ... even though it's become a little predictable over the last couple of seasons. Your dinner sounds great ... foie gras on a stick? Sign me up!!! :rotfl2:

I've seen Graham featured on a few foodie shows. Sounds like you had an interesting and delicious dinner! :cool1:
Yes, we watch Next Food Network Star. It's fun to see who stays, who goes, and what the next challenge is. :thumbsup2

We enjoy NFNS, but hubby agrees (good naturedly) with the predictable part. About mid day on Sunday, he'll remind me he'll be watching for the first person to cry, first person to worry they won't get to show their true skills, and first to moan that they are certain they are going home. He awards all three categories every episode. He's a hoot sometimes! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Brenda I read your review of Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian and decided the tea sounded relaxing as well as delicious!

We'll be off site with our daughter the first three nights in Orlando, and then we'll have a good bit of a day before we arrive at the WL later in the afternoon. Tea at the Grand Floridan seemed like the perfect thing to do before we check in. I called today, and we're booked! :cool1:

I always love your reviews. They're full of fun and information--the best kind!
:goodvibes

We had an interesting appetizer: Tavern Crisps ~ House-made crisps (potato chips) topped with English farmhouse Cheddar, bacon, scallions and Pub BBQ sauce. The crisps were crispy and the toppings were plentiful.

This looks really yummy! Glad you had a great night out. :thumbsup2

Good for you - afternoon tea is a lovely oasis in the midst of much WDW madness. :goodvibes

And thanks for the kind words on the reviews ... I always try to make them enjoyable and informative so you've made me feel like I'm doing something right. :thumbsup2

The buttons rock Seattle!!!!
Their arrival makes my trip seem closer, which of course is awesome.

Thought I'd share some pics from our trip to the Biltmore Winery yesterday.

One thing I've learned in my years of doing wine tastings-never allow your children to man the camera while you partake. My first trip to Biltmore's tasting room had a very different outcome-one that left Fred with many blackmail worthy photographs. I now only have peachy little sanitized photos to share.
