Good Morning Friendies,

I'm asking everyone here to keep my DS24 in their thoughts and prayers today. I'm taking him up to the dental surgeon shortly to have 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed. They are also going to do a biopsy of his jawbone, since the panoramic xray showed a large spot on his lower right jaw. I'm not sure how long it will take for the result to come back on that but we are all nervous about it.

Thanks
Of course...good thoughts coming your way...

I don't particularly like rum but SoCo and Cranberry juice sounds wonderful! Thanks for posting these!

I drink SoCo & Cranberry all the time. (Well, you know, when I decide to drink :rotfl:) But not necessarily with the lime.

The Desdemona is really good, it's really refreshing in the summertime.

Most of the drinks have rum in them...go figure

Wow, I take two days off and you guys have been busy. I think I'm all caught up now and hopefully I didn't miss anything in my replies.

and I got a refill on my McMurray pinot noir by accident - the server ran out while pouring it and she said she would go get another bottle and wouldn't bat an eye if the stuff already in the glass was gone when she got back - (I left some in the glass but not much)

This all looks dreamy. Cool presentation for the mac & cheese too. Thanks for sharing your food porn with us.

I am a bit sad today friendies, ok..more than a bit..i have been crying intermittantly throughout the day because i just heard that my family cat ( 14yrs +) is very sick and is probably not going to be around much longer. Mind you, she lives with my parents, but i was the one that brought her home when i was 18 years old..when i moved out my parents made her stay there ;)...she has had a great life, and i kind of knew something was wrong with her, she got so darn skinny so fast..but its still hard. ..i am hoping to get over there after work today to say goodbye..unless a miracle happens of course..ughhh...i think i will be having a bit of scotch tonight..or maybe some wine...sigh..the ups and downs of owning a pet. :sad1:

 I'm so sorry. Its hard to lose your beloved pet. I'll keep my fingers crossed that she hangs in there.

I've been having a hard week and it's going to get even harder. My only child, DS 19, is leaving the nest going away to college. I've been "Kyle's Mom" for 19 years and I'm not sure who or what I'll be after he leaves. He's not going far away but it still hurts. I'm so sorry for babbling my depressing stuff here.:sad1:

No apologies necessary! I only sent Drew off for a two week stint at college and I'm beside myself. In less than a year I'll be in your shoes and its been in the forefront of my thoughts. Its hard when your baby leaves-and in your case your one and only.:hug::hug:

Yikes!!! I don't know how to make the picture smaller. I'm new to this posting stuff. It's been a crazy
journey the past 10 months. I just take it one day at a time, and try to have confidence I can keep the 48lbs off.
Anyway, here's the new, improved 50 year old me.
At this point in my life it's actually unbelievable to me that I have two kids that will be 27 and 25 this fall.
But, Tink rules, I promised I'd be brave and post a picture. Notice my button?

Good luck and I will keep your son in my prayers. Hopefully its nothing and you will all be able to rest easy soon.

Back in February/March/I'm ashamed to admit :rolleyes1 I said I would come post some Jimmy Buffett inspired drink recipes.
Don't feel bad, I still haven't found a recipe I said I'd post back at Easter. :rolleyes1

Already popped in over there and said hello! :goodvibes I only have one review left to write from last trip, and then I may be starting my new one.

Good Morning Friendies,

I'll be thinking of you and your son today. I hope all goes well.

I've been MIA this week. My 1st week taking care of my niece since my surgery. Monday she proceeds to start running a fever of 102.7. I still can't drive, so SisIL had to leave work to get her to the dr. Well it's strep & guess who also came down with it. Thus do to sickness, we forgot to wake up bright & early to book F&W events on Tuesday! Realized it about 2:30 that day. After being disconnected once, I couldn't believe Blue Zoo was still available! :cool1: that & a tequila tasting was it. DH is bummed over the Italian pairing & French lunch, but I'm just so relieved we nabbed Blue Zoo.

BlissVenture, You look great! :thumbsup2

Bendy, I do think that's the same CM that disconnected me!

Jemini, Good luck to your son.

Nala, Beautiful food pics! :thumbsup2

shovan - I hope you feel better very soon and I hope you are content with your F&W bookings. I agree that getting bluezoo was a great deal since you got a late start!

OK, I am enough older than most of you that I had to go on a wiki-hunt for a Sleestack.

Bluezoo last year used the entire restaurant, not just a private room, so there is more seating for it than there is for most of the Disney sig dinners - most of those I have been to leave the restaurant open and use a private room for the event.

I paid off the rest of my trip today - early, and I didn't have to charge any of it to my credit card. :goodvibes

Bah! It figures ... I go back to work tomorrow and Roman Holiday is showing right now on TCM and then it's being followed by War and Peace. This always happens to me ... :rotfl2:

Oh well, it's not like I haven't seen them before but good movies are hard to come by and I am especially fond of Audrey Hepburn's work.

On a totally different movie topic, have any of you guys ever seen The Women? One of my all-times favs - very funny and full of a lot of uncomfortable truths about the female animal. ;)

I LOVE TCM! I usually have it playing in the background in my office. 'The Women' was a fantastic movie. Interesting tidbit is that the entire movie only showed women, no men, not even in the street scenes or background. Rosalind Russell is one of my favorite actresses, loved her in Aunti Mame. Norma Shearer is hit or miss with me though(especially the ending of 'The Women' with her crying out for Stephen-schmarmy). Audrey Hepburn's biography is a really good read as well as Maurine O'hara's, Dean Martin, Mae West, Rock Hudson, etc..... (sorry, didn't mean to let my dork flag fly)
Hope everyone got their ressies for F&W. We are looking at going in Oct 2010 and I had no idea the race to get the coveted events was so intense! We will be going to V&A on our April 2010 trip, we call it Flourish & Blotts in my family. I know it's not a quill and ink store but it verbally describes the experience. (there goes my flag again!)

I've see The Women. It's interesting what a small world it is. Everyone was with everyone's husband and everyone was gossiping about everyone else. What is up with the ranch for divorcing women? Kinda reminded me of movies where they would send unmarried pregnant women to a convent to have the baby. Weird and is more movie based rather than reality based.
Actually it is reality based. In the early 1900-1950's most states had strict divorce laws. Reno, Nevada was known as the divorce capital at that time because of lighter restrictions on divorce you could get a 'quickie divorce', they also had a shorter residency requirement of only 6 weeks. Thus the ranches to 'live' at until you met your residency term.
How's that for some useless trivia?:rotfl:

If I don't manage to get off meds, so I can use liqour to relieve stress instead of food, I'll be buying moo-moos to wear to Disney!

I had posted this on Brenda's new thread but I will repost here:

Had lots of good food, the biggest surprise was my letdown BlueZoo experience..... It was just an "off" night for all four of us that went. My SiL is pregnant so she couldn't booze it up with me on all their interesting drinks and my husband would rather be eating at Casey's Corner. That coupled with the fact that we had our reservations at 5pm because my brother and SiL felt bad about leaving my parents with the kids and wanted it to be an early evening, so we literally had the place to ourselves. Like I said, the whole vibe of the evening was 'off'. Better luck next time......

That being said, the food really was awesome! Here is a pic of the special that night which included the "sticky" lobster, soft shell crab and a beef that is comparable to kobi and oh so tasty!
