It was interesting when my brother and husband took the lobster shells and did a little chorus line dance with them on the table.......:rolleyes1
Sounds like my cousins. We had crab legs once, and they were sword fighting with the shells. No wonder we still end up at the kids table at the holidays. :lmao:

My husband, Rob, has dined everywhere from Vegas to Hong Kong but still prefers Casey's Corner! :confused3 That's a special kind of Dis Freak!!

A blast from the past ...

Plankton Takes on Walt Disney World (from our October 2006 visit):

Plankton Tries to Take over WDW one Minion at a Time

I hope you enjoy ... it was Jay's first foray into making a slideshow / video. Still cracks me up, but I'm weird that way. :rotfl2:

OMG. Warning to others- do not watch when 2 Margaritas into your evening.:rotfl:

I loved the one where he's lined up next to the doll heads.:lmao:

Thanks everyone for your thoughts, prayers and pixie dust. You all are the best!

We ended up being there alot longer than we had planned. The surgeon removed a what he feels was a benign tumor ( we have to wait 7-10 days for the biopsy to be sure ) from his lower right jawbone. He had to remove a little of the jawbone too to get it all. Drew's face is all swollen and he's in alot of pain but we're hopeful that everything will be ok and that e will be feeling better soon.

On a sie note, have you ever noticed that men make horrible patients. Not only was Drew miserable but Andy, my husband was miserable too. He has a bad case of poison ivy all over his hands and arms and was sick and crabby all day also. I couldn't wait til the both fell asleep last night so I could relax and have a glass of wine before bed. ;)

Shovan- Sorry to hear you got strep. Hope you are feeling better soon.

luvsvillians - that lobster, steak and crab cakes look great

Planky- :lmao::rotfl::lmao:

Luvillains, that spread looks magnificent! I'm afraid our friends are going to prefer Casey's to anywhere I suggest in December. :scared1: No offense to the hotdogs of the world, though.

Bridget - I am continuing to send good thoughts your way. I think the wine after bedtime was a great idea for you!

shovan - I hope you feel better this morning. Did you know what a sleestack was??

We still prefer Casey's to almost any other dog ... in fact it's the only hotdog we'll eat at WDW. I still hate that stupid whole wheat bun, though ... sheeesh, if I'm eating spare pork parts I obviously don't care about the nutrional content of the bun it's served in. Just put the darn thing in a whipped paste bun and pass the mustard. :rotfl2:

Bridget, glad to hear that your son is home and beginning to mend. I can only imagine how uncomfortable he must right now. As to the other ... I've noticed that Jay isn't the best "patient" when he's under the weather either. I can only surmise that because he doesn't get sick very often that when he does it's harder on him in some ways than it is on me when I get sick. If there's an upside to dealing with a bunch of chronic conditions it's that feeling sub-par is kinda normal, so things have to be pretty wacked out for me start really complaining.

Poor men ... they really don't know how good they have it sometimes. ;)

I agree with Elin - the wine was a terrific idea!

So sorry for your Drew. Hope he's feeling better soon.

In my experience, men in general are not good patients. My sister and brother are both doctors and they agree men are the worst when sick. Fred also backs up that assertion-he can be downright pitiful when ill. There's a reason us women have the babies and they don't.

Morning everyone! :goodvibes I'm home from WDW with one less child. :sad1: My daughter is an official Disney CM now and has begun her WDW College Program adventure. :yay: She is overwhelmed, but very happy!

We LOVED Bay Lake Tower. :cloud9: Can't wait to buy more points there. :woohoo: I will post some pics when I get organized. We had our last night celebration dinner at California Grill, and I'm happy to report that the flatbreads are as delicious as ever. The lobster risotto is to die for, too. I can't wait to order it again in December... (or October, if we win the lotto! LOL!) We spent a ton of money moving Jordan in and setting up her apartment, so the F&W Fest is probably out for us. :sad2: I hope everyone had good luck in getting their F&W reservations!

Cheers!
Michelle

I've been MIA this week. My 1st week taking care of my niece since my surgery. Monday she proceeds to start running a fever of 102.7. I still can't drive, so SisIL had to leave work to get her to the dr. Well it's strep & guess who also came down with it. Thus do to sickness, we forgot to wake up bright & early to book F&W events on Tuesday! Realized it about 2:30 that day. After being disconnected once, I couldn't believe Blue Zoo was still available! :cool1: that & a tequila tasting was it. DH is bummed over the Italian pairing & French lunch, but I'm just so relieved we nabbed Blue Zoo.

BlissVenture, You look great! :thumbsup2

Bendy, I do think that's the same CM that disconnected me!

Jemini, Good luck to your son.

Nala, Beautiful food pics! :thumbsup2

Sheryl, I hope you are feeling better soon!

I had posted this on Brenda's new thread but I will repost here:

Had lots of good food, the biggest surprise was my letdown BlueZoo experience..... It was just an "off" night for all four of us that went. My SiL is pregnant so she couldn't booze it up with me on all their interesting drinks and my husband would rather be eating at Casey's Corner. That coupled with the fact that we had our reservations at 5pm because my brother and SiL felt bad about leaving my parents with the kids and wanted it to be an early evening, so we literally had the place to ourselves. Like I said, the whole vibe of the evening was 'off'. Better luck next time......

That being said, the food really was awesome! Here is a pic of the special that night which included the "sticky" lobster, soft shell crab and a beef that is comparable to kobi and oh so tasty!

Bridget, I hope your son will be feeling better soon.....and yes, men are absolute wimps when it comes to being sick or hurting. DH has been doing subject control all week in his class (which basically means that they are beating the cr*p out of each other) so all week long he's been moaning and whining about how sore he is, and look at the size of this bruise, etc! Can you imagine the reaction you'd get from a man after giving birth?!:lmao:

She's going to have a great time, and just think, now you have an excuse to go to Disney even more often!

That food looks fabulous.

what she said :rotfl: amazing looking munchies!!!!

Oh for those of you that were wondering about my cat situation, as of right now she seems to be doing a bit better with fluid injections and new food/meds..she still isn't eating much and is still very sick, but we are hoping that we can perk her up and keep her around and painfree for a bit longer...its such an up and down thing with animals ..and kidney disease is very common with older kitties i guess..so i am still praying for her to recover the best she can but at least know i can wrap my head around it better..thanks again for all the good thoughts..i really appreciate it!

OH so of course there is something food related too..last night greg and i went to providence for a much needed night out and i had the BEST gnocchi ever..its gnocchi in an aurora sauce with sundried tomatoes..HEAVEN on a plate...and they give you a ton..dinner part 2 will be tonight.yum! I shall take a picture of it, but it might not photograph well, gotta find its good side ;)

Ah, you just think that's the best dog...wait till you see what we ate in California! I buy wheat buns/bread at home but even I will agree that a hotdog tastes better on a gummy white bun!

How exciting having your dd working at WDW! I've already started putting the idea in dd8's head that she can do that one semester in college! She asked me if I would cry when she goes off to college...sniff.

CA Grill sounds like it was a great meal for you guys!

On a separate note, I am finally feeling a little more settled in my Dec. planning today. I almost have my adr list finalized so I'll post it after I go over it with hubby tonight. Such a relief to finally have a plan!

My FIL had to have a procedure similar to that. And yes, men are horrible patients. My Mom's theory is that because they used to be the "hunters" they obsess over every little injury because they always feel they should be at their peak. They just get miserable and uber cranky. Women's bodies are always changing (bloating, shrinking, swelling, gassy, stretching, birthing...) so we all take being injured/sick easier because women are never "really well".:upsidedow

I hope you got some evening wine.

My thoughts exactly! I'm not exactly the poster child for decorum and restraint, either.

I'm glad it wasn't an off night for the kitchen! It's a PITA when the vibe is off & your in a great restuarant!

I just had that experience with Emeril's last week. Thus the reason for not doing a review on it. Food was wonderful, service was even better! DH had called ahead & Chef David Slater brought out an amuse bouche. He also sent out complimentary barbecued shrimp & a creme brulee While it was a wonderful evening, I was just not feeling it. :confused3 probably already getting sick & my first big outing since surgery. I don't know maybe it was only being able to have one glass of wine. Didn't feel like a celebration without ordering a bottle. :sad2:

Poor Drew! That sounds really painful! Prayers that he heals quickly & the biopsy is fine.

Sons are not good patients. Now husbands are a whole other matter, most are just BIG WHINY BABIES!!! They get a cold and it's the end of the world!

Bridget - I am continuing to send good thoughts your way. I think the wine after bedtime was a great idea for you!

shovan - I hope you feel better this morning. Did you know what a sleestack was??

I didn't know IT/They? had a name! I actually watched the shows in the original running of the tv program, that's how old I am.

Welcome home! Congrats again to your daughter! I can't wait to see pics of BLT! We really want to buy there, but it's just not in the cards this year.

I think that show was out in the early 70s... I was either in college, or a newlywed with a ful time teaching position. I didn't watch ?Saturday morning? :confused3 shows at all. I figure I am at least as old as you are. ;)
