Tommorow is ADR DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have our schedule in front of me, but i do know that these guys made the list:

1900 Park Faire breakfast
Citricos
Teppen EDO
Sci Fi- for lunch
Tony's town Square
Now..we are still debating one more lunch spot..and i am hoping you wonderful people could weigh in!
We are going to be doing lunch at Epcot one of the days and were debating between Chefs De France, Coral Reef OR Rose and Crown....any suggestions???

Oh yummmmyyyyyy Kathy!

Is it too late to join in? I've been lurking....;)

Hey friendies!

I posted here yesterday (4 pages ago) but apparently it didn't go through.

Thanks to all for the Welcome Back & the great Party drinks!

DH just sent me a text, We have a dinner adr for Kouzzina!!!

What a lovely way to come home from work ... finding so many pages of friendies chatting! :goodvibes

Welcome to our newer posters / lurkers ... please feel free to post as much as you'd like. We're a harmless group ... really ... just make sure your fingers don't get in the way of the food. :rotfl2:

Is it a bad thing to give up PFTS for a hour and a half trip to Greycliff for wine and cheese pairing in Nassau?

I read about their wine cellar and food in Wine Spectator last week and found out today that one of the excursions DCL offers on our Oct cruise is this one.

8 tastings and 8 cheeses in a five star restaurant.........:confused3

Allison - I just read your son's blog. I can't wait to eat at his restaurant in the future!

Thanks, we're having lots of fun right now eating all his stuff at home. Its so NOT good for the waistline though. I have to remember to take pics of our dinner when he cooks. Tonight he made us salmon with snap peas, squash, carrots and onions all in an herb butter. :)

Perish the thought! You could never be a thread killer Brenda. Just look at all the foodies you brought together here. :goodvibes

You're too kind. I just think it's funny that everyone is able to talk during the day and then I come home and there's no one around. :rotfl2: It's probably a sign that I should get off my duff and work off some calories. ;)

I showed the button to a friend of mind at work today and she thought it was terrific!

I mailed four small packages of buttons today so those of you who contacted me ... please let me know when they arrive and what you think! :goodvibes

Congrats! You gotta love it when you can save money on a trip you already had planned!

First of all...wow! What a trip you guys have planned! Secondly, I vote for Rose and Crown....hands down it is my favorite WS restaurant. Good food, great choice of drinks, and wonderful atmosphere! But I am very partial to the British Isles, so I may be biased....

Woohoo...can't wait to hear about it!

Sounds delish! But I can see that having him around testing his skills on you would not be good for maintaining your weight!

You're too kind. I just think it's funny that everyone is able to talk during the day and then I come home and there's no one around. :rotfl2: It's probably a sign that I should get off my duff and work off some calories. ;)

Don't worry, Brenda....you're not alone!

Okay, I have lots to report tonight....none of it probably of any consequence though!:rotfl:

First off....I was perusing the issue of Southern Living that arrived today, and came across some information that made me think of some particular friendies!

Brenda.....they are reporting that the first 275 fans that arrive at the Cardinal ballpark on game day will pay only $11 for a pair of tickets. They did not specify how good the tickets are, but I remember from earlier in the thread you were saying how you are going to have to skip seeing a game this summer because of how expensive the tickets were. I have no idea how early you would need to get there to score these cheap tix, but I thought I would give you a heads up in case you hadn't heard of this yet.

TigerKat and Shovan (and anyone else down in NOLA), apparently you can get 25 cent martinis at Commander's Palace during lunch. They don't say how big they are....but for 25 cents, who cares if they are the size of shot glass!

I've also got a little food porn for you guys....I made a little special dinner for my DH Mike tonight. He is halfway through a rather grueling certification course for his job as a detention officer....he's been having to get up at 5am and doesn't get home until after 7 or 8 most nights because the class is in Durham (about an hour and a half away from us). He's doing PT four days a week and taking as many as 5 tests a day, and it's really putting him through the wringer. But he's kicking everyone's tail, as he has the best times on all of their PT trials, and he found out today that he's the academic leader for the class as well!

So to congratulate him, I made some sirloin kabobs and a hot fudge pudding cake for dessert. There were some teriyaki noodles and edamame as well....but I didn't take pics since they came from a packet and a bag respectively. When it comes to cooking, my philosophy is to make equal parts from scratch and equal parts from convenience!:lmao: For our beverages, we had mango mojitos.

First up kabobs.....although I didn't include vegetables, so perhaps they are more appropriately described as meat sticks.

And the hot fudge pudding cake....

Tis a rare gift to kill yer own thread ... :lmao:

Nah.... we were just all out eating and drinking. Isn't that what we are supposed to be doing?

We went to our favorite wine bar again tonight for their weekly free Friday Night Wine Tasting and a light dinner.

The James Dare, the rep from Warwick Wineries in South Africa was pouring the following delicious wines. We had the opportunity to talk to him a bit after the tasting and he was delighted to know we had drunk his wines at AKL before. Seems they are his largest buyer in the US!

Warwick Sauvignon Blanc 2008
Warwick Three Cape Ladies 2004 (this was my favorite tonight)
Warwick Estate Reserve Red 2001
Warwick Old Bush Vine Pinotage 2006

I think I want to go there some day. I have never really thought about visiting South Africa, even though my brother was engaged to a lovely young lady from SA for a few years. But, just look at this place!

We had mac 'n' cheese with lobster for dinner and it was yummy, as usual. Also tasted some wines in the enomatics there

(Orin Swift's Mercury Head and Saldo and Roagna Barolo Riserva la Rocca e La Pira 1993 were some I would not normally buy but enjoy sipping a bit)

n my way back home I saw the most fascinating site. I am still perplexed by what it all means, but I will let the photos from my phone (as I was driving!) speak for themselves:

Elin, both the dinner and the wine tasting sound great! I am completely flummoxed by those bronzes. It would have thrown me for a loop to see Grandma and Grandpa tooling by me in the back of a pick-up like that!

Brenda - the youTube link was amazingly hysterical! thanks for posting it. :teeth:

Heather - your man is lucky to have you cheering him on! :goodvibes
