Now I know why you have Wednesday off.:lmao:

Found the place online at the Disney site. Tried to log in and my password didn't work. OK, fine, send a new one.
The new one they sent doesn't work either?:confused3
Guess I'll call in the AM.

Good evening and happy Friday, friendies. :goodvibes

First of all I want to thank everyone from the very bottom of my heart for your good thoughts, kind words, and prayers. I'm humbled and grateful for the friendship and concern you've shown these past few days ... I don't know exactly what I did to deserve such a gift but I appreciate it more than I can ever adequately express. :grouphug:

As for Grimmie ... she was sent home earlier today with a fist full of prescriptions, a new diet, and an exercise plan. She had two heart attacks - one last Friday and one Tuesday night. Turns out that she had 99% blockage in the primary left artery - the ones that doctors like to refer to as the widowmaker. She's lucky that she didn't end up with a starring role at her own funeral this week. Her heart sustained about 35% damage and she will be limited to moderate exercise going forward but we're hopeful that if she sticks to her diet and gets in the walking she needs to get in on a daily basis that she will be around to gamble for years and years to come.

She has to be feeling better because she asked the cardiologist today when she could go back to the casino. :rotfl2:

I'm going to post this on the review thread too, so that I don't miss anyone. But thanks again to all of you - you're the bestest food-n-booze lovin' friendies a girl could ask for! :goodvibes

Brenda, just wanted to say that I'm so glad your mom is doing better! My dad has had a couple of heart attacks (fortunately he's doing okay now) and I know it's always a stressful time. Sending you some more hugs :hug:

Now that the holiday season is fast approaching I was wondering if the friendies would be interested in a seasonal greeting card exchange? Notice how politically correct I'm being with my choice of words? Note it well ... I don't do it often. But I don't want to upset or offend or unintentionally leave someone out so Happy Winter Solstice to you all!

Since this isn't a closed forum, I thought we could either start a PM chain here on the DIS, or we can do so with regular email. I haven't mailed cards in years but I find myself wanting to do it this year so I thought I would start with you fine foodies. :grouphug:

Please let me know how you would like to exchange addresses if you are so inclined.

Bendy

Offically I celebrate Hanukkah with my family but I also celebrate Christmas with my friends. Heck, I just celebrate everything for pretty much the entire month of December. I even have my birthday in December :goodvibes I love the holidays and would love to spread some holiday cheer among the friendies so please count me in! I think you already have my email and home address but let me know if you need me to send it again.

I have 3 (4?) Christmas trees, a Hanukkah tree and a Menorah. I'd love any kind of card :santa:

Ok, so we're home. Exhausted but it was great! The CM's were wonderful, the weather was perfect and the birthday girl was happy :woohoo: A highlight of the trip was the surprise campfire. CM Brittany came in on her day off just for our private campfire. When we got to the campfire pit there was a crown (it said "It's my birthday), chair with balloons and goody bag waiting for Meg. She had the girls sing and dance to silly campfire songs, let them make as many s'mores as they wanted, and really connected with them. She was AWESOME!

I'm going to write up a trip report, just not sure where or when. Time to collapse :goodvibes

Would love to see a picture of your Hanukkah tree -- no one I knew ever had one :)

Sounds like your daughter had a great birthday weekend:thumbsup2

It doesn't sound wierd to me. I'm originally from the Bronx and would feel the same as you do.

And, Epcot is one of the worst parks to be in when it's cold. Marcel and I went during Christmas one year and we froze! I think it is because of the lake - the wind seems to whip around it and make it even colder.

Now, the Sunday when we did the Moonstruck demo, I thought it was way too chilly. :)

My parents grew up in the Bronx -- I guess it is a small world after all...:goodvibes

That day of the Moonstruck demo was cold, but it was actually colder a few of the days on my trip last October if you can believe it. They brought out all the Disney hats, scarfs, gloves, etc. and people were swarming to buy the stuff -- guess those who didn't pay too much attention to the forecast before they left home. It's so weird because it can be in the 50s here and feel much warmer than those same temps in Florida.

I am sad the F&W festival is over too. I guess it's time to really admit vacation is over, huh?!

If you are already within the 180 days you actually don't need to sign in (at least this was my experience). If not, I don't think you do either, I think you just need your reservation number to open up the 10 day window. When you're on the page to book a reservation at a specific restaurant, there is a link to retreive your reservation -- you just need to click on this and enter all the info and it should bring your reservation up -- then as long as you're in the same session it should keep your 10 day window open. You can keep booking reservations and putting then in your cart, and then when done check out.

I probably missed something but I'm sure someone else will chime in with their experiences. Good luck :goodvibes

Hi Friendies,

I got swamped again and had to stop Dissing for a couple days - which means I'm behind by 100s of posts! If I come to the Dis Boards I need at least a 2 hour block of time.

Bendy - I hope your Mom is doing better. That's one heck of a heart blockage. Where there no signs at all before the attack? *Note to self* - get back to the gym tomorrow.

Welcome back Chelle - sounds like another perfect trip.

Briarmom - I've subscribed to your TR. It's such fun to keep reliving the memories.

I can't remember when I last sent a Xmas card - saving the trees and all that y' know :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 I'll pass on the cards this time around but if you're starting a cookie exchange...:):)

card exchange right now:

I was raised Lutheran, but my mom was Jewish. DH is Jewish, adopted by his Catholic stepdad and we got married by a Catholic priest - Navy Chaplain :lmao: We celebrate everything :thumbsup2

I'll have to find a picture or just take a new one this year. Basically I take a small tree, and cover it in blue & silver ornaments and I have dreidle lights that I wrap around it :goodvibes

Birthday weekend was incredible :cool1:

I'm renting DVC, and don't have the reservation # right now. Plus, what if you're staying offsite? You can't use the online reservation system?

I'm in. I'll have to buy a Christmas card box. I stopped sending them years ago because it's too hard to find everyone that we know in the military.

Cripes all these photos of me and my adorable mom...Mom looks great.

I have Tyler Florence and his food to put up but I am getting work done before going to Vegas tomorrow. He might have to wait until I get back unless I can put him up tonight. And Paula Deen dropped in so I have funny pictures of her and Tyler.

TyFlo makes his own wine and it isn't bad.

Hi Elin! Did you bring home as much free crap from that show as I did? I've got a whole Stouffer's gourmet dinner they pushed on me while walking out... of course I had to actually pay for the Death Sauce.

Well, you got more than we did then! :rotfl2: Although Ashley stopped and got more of the Asian noodles and they really heaped in on her plate. As for the Death Sauce... you couldn't pay ME to take that home! :rotfl2:

We saw/heard Paula and I thought, "Why isn't it Tyler?" Then we heard him back again as well as someone from ?Top Chef? that I don't know but the girls did. Glad you had fun and I am glad we got to meet!

Have fun in Vegas with Lori! :goodvibes

Oh that is just so.....wrong! :rotfl2:
So says this Jewish girl with the Disney character menorah. :rolleyes1
Yes, Goofy, being the tallest, is the shamash candle in the center. :rotfl2:

And boy, Briarmom and I are mistaken for each other now? LOL! Must be the "Briar" thing. ;)

I'm not packed yet, by the way. I better do that tonight. I printed out my boarding pass, though. Why did I buy the 6:20am flight?? :headache:
