Is it a pain to ship items from the WDW resort to other people?

I ask because there were these awesome hand-blown ornaments in Germany that we didn't have room for in our luggage. I'd like to get my hands on them but I'm not sure how to go about doing so.

There was a glass beer mug with foamy beer and a wine barrel and a tavern ... boozy ornaments can't be beat!

There's an 800 # somewhere - I'll see if I can get it for you... if they can find it... they will ship it..

I would be down with snail-mailing holiday cards to dis-amigos. What a great idea. I know you can make private groups on Facebook, but probably not everyone dis-ing is facebooking as well.

Did you get your check?

not yet, but there has been a strangely long delay in getting things by mail lately. It took 11 days for a check from another DISer to get from PA to VA. We decided next time we will just walk toward one another and exchange the check when we meet. We know we could wakl it faster than the USPS delivered it!

Now that the holiday season is fast approaching I was wondering if the friendies would be interested in a seasonal greeting card exchange? Notice how politically correct I'm being with my choice of words? Note it well ... I don't do it often. But I don't want to upset or offend or unintentionally leave someone out so Happy Winter Solstice to you all!

Since this isn't a closed forum, I thought we could either start a PM chain here on the DIS, or we can do so with regular email. I haven't mailed cards in years but I find myself wanting to do it this year so I thought I would start with you fine foodies.

Please let me know how you would like to exchange addresses if you are so inclined.

count me in... we did this last year on the PC repo thread... I just collected addresses for everyone and then typed up the list and then emailed it as an attachment to everyone... they were on their own after that...

makes it really easy for the second year where you just have to add any other newcomers to it and edit... and then send...

We found each other! And Kristin took a picture of us. I am posting it because Catherine figured I would. She looks good. I look like I have a moon face, for some reason! And I look scared to death...

Ahhhh... 2 beautifly Friendies!!!

I have 3 (4?) Christmas trees, a Hanukkah tree and a Menorah. I'd love any kind of card


Ok, so we're home. Exhausted but it was great! The CM's were wonderful, the weather was perfect and the birthday girl was happy A highlight of the trip was the surprise campfire. CM Brittany came in on her day off just for our private campfire. When we got to the campfire pit there was a crown (it said "It's my birthday), chair with balloons and goody bag waiting for Meg. She had the girls sing and dance to silly campfire songs, let them make as many s'mores as they wanted, and really connected with them. She was AWESOME!

I'm going to write up a trip report, just not sure where or when. Time to collapse

Chelle, I'm so glad that you had a good trip and the birthday plan was a hit! Nothing like all you can eat smores!

The only two peeps on this list whose addresses I don't have are Chelle and Heather. I think an email outside of the DIS that shares everyone's address would be better than trying to do it here, but I will defer to majority opinion on that.

We once did this and what we did was an Excel spreadsheet. Name, DisName, Address, etc.

Maybe that would help. We then emailed it out to everyone.

Now that sounds yummy. You could also dip those marshmallows in the Bailey's Ganache from the F&W Festival this year.
