December people...there is a thread in Theme Parks that almost officially confirms that Epcot will not have the Lights of Winter this year... that's almost as bad as losing AC. (Okay, it's not THAT bad). Entertainment in that area for this year is said to be a new Gospel choir.

Just got home from our beer / food pairing ... it was a tasty boozy good time and we won a prize! Actually we won two but I didn't feel right taking two of five door prizes so I gave one to the people sitting at the table next to us.

Five food courses and seven beers and we witnessed a robbery suspect fleeing the premises on our way in. Actually I almost ran the dude down with my CRV (and that was before I had anything to drink!).

Such an eventful evening! Excellent food and booze!!!

I was raised Lutheran, but my mom was Jewish. DH is Jewish, adopted by his Catholic stepdad and we got married by a Catholic priest - Navy Chaplain We celebrate everything

I'll have to find a picture or just take a new one this year. Basically I take a small tree, and cover it in blue & silver ornaments and I have dreidle lights that I wrap around it

Birthday weekend was incredible

My PT's were both Jewish and someone gave them a Xmas tree one year... first off.. they didn't know you had to put it in water... THEN they had nothing to decorate it with so each one of the patients brought something in... I DID find blue and white garland...

Tink, I didn't get to sleep in this morning, but when the power went out at work unexpectedly today, I did get to come home early and take a nap!

Well, it's 40 degrees and raining here and I was absolutely freezing when I got home. So I made a huge pot of Cincinnati chili spaghetti for dinner, and now am enjoying a Kahlua spiked hot chocolate in front of the fire, and am finally thawing out!

I have a sick husband.
I have to go to lunch with BOTH kids today (which means I'll be at the school from about 10:30-12:30).
I did a spinning class last night. Ouch.

Have you had any flooding down there? Lots of people here woke up yesterday and today to find that their basements had become swimming pools!

Jamie, are you okay over there in Tennessee? I saw on CNN that you guys were having some problems with rockslides and mudslides.

We're fine here, Heather. The main slide is on I-40 on the NC side if you're going between Asheville and Knoxville. Totally blocked for 3 months but doesn't affect us, whew! I saw on tv yesterday the slide in Chattanooga, which is 4 hours away. I'll PM you where we live so you don't have to get out a slide rule and map! (no pun intended with the "slide" rule but )

Yes, I saw that Chattanooga slide yesterday too...what a crazy video! Glad to hear that none of them are affecting you.
