Belly Up to the Bar With Bendy and Her Friendies!!! Button Pics & New Thread Started!

Hi all! Thought I'd pop in real quick....one kid is napping and the other is wreaking havoc with her cousins, so I am hiding in my bedroom so that I can avoid responsibility for a while! As a general rule, I try very hard not to let the other family members run herd on my kids....but DH is on duty this week, so I am here on my own, and they've got me outnumbered.....so I'm taking my family up on their offers to help me out this weekend.

Thought you might enjoy a few shots from here....first up is the view from our deck this morning.

The water's been a little rough for the kiddos, but the weather has been great yesterday and today.

Very nice!

And because I can never resist an opportunity to show off my kiddos....here's rugrat #1....Emma, 5 years old.

Followed by rugrat #2....Nathan, 17 months old.

Aww! Very cute!

And finally....the money shot. The commercial grade margarita machine that is bringing me soul-restoring, mind-numbing salvation this weekend!

As you can see, we've already drained on side.:lmao:

WOW :woohoo::cool1::worship:

Looks amazing! Have a great weekend!
That machine looks WONDER***!:woohoo:

Both of you are too funny! Unfortunately, my "kids" are both "Disney Adults" so the dessert party adds up pretty quick. That and it's fun to have dessert for dinner :cool1: I also have trouble eating that much in July heat :sad2: so I'll take dessert over dinner most days ;)

Mine are adults too (well according to Disney anyway) and they have the suction power of a Hoover when food is concerned. Nobody warned me that the teen years were when I'd be going broke just on food alone! Your right though-it does add up quickly. Like a sheep headed to the slaughter...Disney offers these things and I empty my pockets willingly as they rob me blind-all the while with a stupid grin on my face.

:worship: Just what you need for a blissed out holiday weekend! Makes me want to hit up the restaurant supply store...but Fred would kill me.

Sorry about the blechy stuff

Living in the South, I love Sweet Tea! My tried & true recipe for it is 3,2,1.
3 Family size bags (I like the Luzianne for sweet tea)
2 cups water
1 cup sugar

Bring water to boil, then put tea bags in for 5 minutes to steep. Don't squeeze or you'll get a bitter taste. Stir in 1 cup sugar--super fine is best. Pour tea mixture into a pitcher and add cold water to make 2 quarts.

Thanks for the easy 1,2,3 (and 5 minutes) that might help me remember :goodvibes

:lmao: Beautiful blonds, BTW

Heather - your kids are precious, the view is wonderful and machine is AMAZING!

I'm just going to ask my boss to let me come in late on Aug 11. I'm on a plane home from LA on the 10th so I'll probably not sleep anyway.

I hear you! I think my kids are part of the reason Disney charges adult prices for kids 10 and up. The 13 year old eats more than DH and I put together, and that's saying something! The 10 year old is working hard on being just like his brother as well. Lucky for them, they seem to have inherited their father's metabolism and eat and eat without putting on any weight. How come that doesn't work for me. :confused3:confused3

Thanks for the tea advice everyone! Time to start experimenting. :thumbsup2

Brenda, The Repo sounds exciting. We are going on a 4 day Wonder next summer. The plan is to combine that with a trip to Universal. The 2 DS's and I are praying that Harry Potter is open by the time we go.

After years in a row, I have no Disney plans for 2009 so I am looking forward to hearing about everyone's F&W adventures so that I can live vicariously through them.:)

have a good holiday everyone ... just got home a little while ago because my car decided to dump all its oil in the parking lot at work. I just had the damn car serviced last month so I'm hoping they put in a faulty filter or seal. Thankfully one of my co-workers said something and he drove me up to an auto parts store where I had to buy four quarts of oil just to make it out to lesser Stinktown and the car dealership where they think they can look at it on Monday.

We were going to stop at the Chicago HRC on our way back Monday but now we think we've gotta scrap it because the dealership is only open until 6PM and it's usually a 6-hour drive from Chicago back here.

Even when I'm not sick I manage to ruin everything.

Awww, crap. I hope things work out better for you soon.
This is a crazy weekend to drive through Chicago anyway, as the Taste of Chicago is going on until the 5th.

Maybe I should go visit Stinktown on a non-holiday time frame. I've got some vacation time I'm taking a couple of weeks from now. :)

does anyone here know how to make these emoticon guys?

I really want a special one for our cruise next year but I have no idea how to do it.

I'm seeing a happy banana-man:  ... being sucked into a whirling vortex ...

since we're crossing the Atlantic at the height of hurricane season, and since the only two times Jay and I have cruised were during two of the worst hurricane seasons in recent memory (2004 and 2005), our specious reasoning tells us that next September is gonna be a bumpy ride. I thought it would be funny to have a special little emoticon for it.

I'm also trying to come up with a really interesting title for that to-be-written TR. I think I'm going to make a second blog just for that cruise and we're talking about taking the laptop with us so we can post while we're cruising.

How fun would that be? :dance3:

Bendy... this is all I could find... true...it's the wrong storm but it was close...
fwp-smiley-03tornadosm.gif

& How about... "Toto... Bendy and Jay aren't in WDW this year..." for a title... :confused3

Go have some wine... you'll be fine...

Thanks Lori. I was just really looking forward to a nice fun little lunch before coming back to Stinkville and the pit that is my place of employment. Jay could swipe his HRC card, buy a few pins, have a tasty sandwedge, and then cruise easily into town with nothing but grocery shopping to worry about on Monday afternoon.

Meh, so much for a relaxing Monday.

We'd try to find a good restaurant or two for you to try ... but if I were you I'd find a better town with less Stink to spend my vacation. ;)

It's a start! And it's funny.

Go have some wine... you'll be fine...

No wine ... have had a sinus headache all day that won't go away and wine will just push me over the edge and then I will sit in the living room watching Jay play Animal Crossing through a haze of tears.

I think my hormones are all wonked up ... some days, and this is one of them, I just wish they'd pulled all the damn plumbing the last time I had surgery. :sad2:

Alrighty ... that's enough pity-fer-one tonight. I'm leaving before I bring everyone down with me. Safe weekend to you all ... :grouphug:

See ya on Monday. :goodvibes

Heather, your kiddos are toooo cute!

Brenda, sorry about the sucky day and headache. I was coming on here to wish you a good trip and saw about the car and everything, which is not a good way to start the weekend! Hopefully you can find a peaceful little corner for a while and a soothing beverage (whatever that may be ;)). DH and I were talking tonight about how we seem to be surrounded by friends who either don't drink or have quit drinking (??) and he just laughed and said we should have shirts made that said "Lushes without a Cause". The first thing I thought was what an appropriate name for part II of this thread! :rotfl:

Everyone is invited over on the 4th to have a clandestine drink with us to celebrate! :dance3:

Oh nos, sorry about your car troubles. Do you collect HRC pins? If you want any Hollywood or San Diego ones let me know. And have a good trip!:goodvibes

Hey everybody! I just wanted to wish you all a great 4th of July and thanks for all of those boozy recipes!:drinking1

FYI ... I checked the on-line ADR system earlier this morning and it does recognize my DVC reservation, which is more than I can say for this past weekend. I don't know if provides the 90+10 yet but at least we exist in the computer memory now.

Sorry thinks have gone downhill, but I hope you can get the car fixed and have a great weekend. Let me know if you end up eating anywhere in Chicago that's worth mentioning, 'cause I'll be there in a couple of weeks!

I'm at work - :sad2: - but I hope everyone that has started their holiday weekend is having a great time. Happy 4th! :3dglasses <-- this is kinda patriotic, right?
