Brenda, not to be a pain, but feel free to continue to talk about your car.
A lot.
Ad nauseum, even.
Because I'm actually considering trading in my car and purchasing the very same vehicle you just purchased before my value tanks even further. My sad tale of woe (if you'll all forgive me, I can make this food related soon, I promise) is that months ago when I checked the trade in value on my
Saturn it was $6000+.
Ask me what it is now that the company has tanked and is being sold off?
$2300. If I'm lucky. I could cry. I so should have bought the car then. Dang hindsight.
Anyway, DH and I went out yesterday to see Harry Potter, after which we hit our local Rainforest Cafe. I lamented the fact that I didn't bring my camera, but honestly, the food porn wouldn't have been that interesting.
I was really shocked...I know a lot of restaurants are cutting back, and I full understand we weren't exactly partaking in fine dining, but what I didn't expect was how much smaller the portions were. Fine for me, but the amount of fries on the plate was pitiful.

They're fries!
Now, we were go with the flow, but our service was pretty awful too. I had to ask twice for a fork. And DH requested American not Swiss, and they ignored it.

Ah well.
At any rate, the only reason I bring this up is, has anyone dined at the Rainforest or the new T Rex at Downtown recently? I'm wondering if these cutbacks are company wide or if they don't apply to such a high volume tourist area. Since we added a couple of days onto our trip, we were thinking of trying the new T Rex with our DS, who's four. Seems right up his alley lately.
Anyway, forgive my rant. Just curious.
