Belly Up to the Bar With Bendy and Her Friendies!!! Button Pics & New Thread Started!

We booked Sanaa online this morning for lunch! The trouble is it doesn't come up on the Animal Kingdom restaurants it's on the main page when you start only! :confused3

I booked today for Sanaa and found it listed under the resort restaurants, but not under Animal Kingdom Lodge, it has a separate listing of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. There's also a listing for Animal Kingdom Villas-Jambo. Little confusing, but I was able to book with no problems.

COOL! Can't wait to hear what you think!

We're not eating there until 10/18, but I'll definitely take plenty of pics and share our experience. We were on the fence about trying it, but figured we'd add just one place that is out of our usual comfort zone. Hope its good.

That's ok .. we have lunch ADR's on the 20th so.. we will all go about the same time! We can compare and contrast! :lmao:

Sheesh. Someone's a blabbermouth around here. :rolleyes1

I have a few items in my F&WF event lineup.

10/15 Flying Fish signature dinner
10/16 Todd English's bluezoo™ signature dinner
10/17 Tequila tasting

My only dinner ADR so far is Bistro de Paris on 10/17. More TBA later.

Saw Harry Potter 6 yesterday with the niece and the hubby ... a very good movie indeed. I'd like to see it again though because there were a lot of chatty kids there (understandable) and a woman with a baby (not understandable).

Most of the changes were fine but there is one scene in the middle of the movie that I don't really understand ... it's not a part of the book at all.

Still, a gorgeously filmed and scored piece. I think Azkaban still has the edge but this was quite good. :goodvibes

We haven't seen the movie yet, but everytime the previews come on, my hubby says that they are showing a scene that he can't place in the book...I bet it's the same scene you are talking about.

OH, am I too late to get in on the buttons? (I'll need 2) I love the design! (just in case I forgot to say...;))

I have a question, and I have posted on the F&W thread... but thought you all might know the question faster than those over there...:rolleyes1 why I wonder??? :lmao:

Do you think that I would be able to do the Sweet Sunday's thing with my 13yo DD? Or will they say no cuz she's not of age? (I was also thinking of PFTS, but it's too pricey to take her, though she'd eat enough...LOL!) There's also the dining w/friends and family thing too... I had thought about.

OR do I just have to be content with getting my fix around the world, and not go to the events?

It would suck to get to the podium, and the hostess say "sorry, she's not of age"... KWIM?

I did order a few extra so if you want two, then two you shall have. I expect to have them within the next week or so; once I do I'll contact everyone and let them know the cost and ask for mailing addresses so that I can ship them on their happy way.

You should be able to take her to Sweet Sundays ... I think you have to let them know when you make the reservation that you have a minor attending but other than that she should be fine. I'm guessing that when you check in for the actual event they'll give her a wristband so that the CMs will know that she's not allowed to drink the sparkling wine they serve with the buffet & desserts.

If Michelle (from Indiana) happens to pop in I'm sure she can let you know because she and her family, including kids under 21, attended a Sweet Sunday event last Fall.

YAY for Homer buttons!!!!

I think Sweet Sundays is what will be on the list of things to do... I can't see spending $270 for both of us to go to PFTS (unless you think it's worth it that much.... she'll not be drinking. ~oooh, can I get the booze I paid for with her ticket??? LOL!)

So, when do you plan for a drive by visit on the 23rd? Wanna meet up at WPE for dinner or are there other plans? (we'll be at POFQ for the first 2 nights.) I'm starting the ADR planning :scared::headache: I'm anticipating a nightmare.... 6 more days to finalize things.

Jay really wanted to have dinner at Jiko on this trip, so we actually have an ADR there that night. We're meeting some cruise friends for breakfast at Cape May that morning and then we have plans to spend the rest of the day at Epcot. We're supposed to have a lite (beery) lunch at Rose & Crown and I think I'm going to put us in a tequilia tasting, too. Any chance you'll be headed to Ecpot that Friday and we could have a quick slushie meet-n-greet to celebrate the joy of sharing the same birthday? :goodvibes

A couple of quick pics of the new, not Volkswagon, Honda CRV ... the more I drive it the more I like it. I hope this is the beginning of a long and mutually satisfying relationship.

A couple of shots of my CRV parked in the driveway so our neighbors can all admire our purchase of yet another foreign-made car:

Who is this plump woman driving my new vehicle??? Oh wait ... that's me. :headache:

That's right ... everyone in outer Stinktown has a truck, an SUV, or a tour bus.

Great new car! Now you just need to come up with a name for it!

Good luck with the new ride miss brenda..its really nice looking!!!

I am liking all the positive feedback with ADRS..i get to make ours next Saturday!!!! We still have to figure them all out, but that is fun stuff..i am just wondering if i want to do it online or the good ole fashion on the phone way...but then again i can always tinker online after..such delicious decisions!!
I am THISCLOSE to finally dumping my picture card onto the computer..i do have some foodie pics to share!!!

I hope you enjoy your CRV as much as I do mine! Doesn't look like much changed from my '08 model, interior looks identical!:thumbsup2

Hello again! Your new is cute! Believe it or not, I haven't been on the disboards since MAY! And when I came back, this thread had progressed more than 100 pages...so needless to say, I will never be totally caught up, but the car is cute! :)

Brenda, not to be a pain, but feel free to continue to talk about your car.

A lot.

Ad nauseum, even.

Because I'm actually considering trading in my car and purchasing the very same vehicle you just purchased before my value tanks even further. My sad tale of woe (if you'll all forgive me, I can make this food related soon, I promise) is that months ago when I checked the trade in value on my Saturn it was $6000+.

Ask me what it is now that the company has tanked and is being sold off?

$2300. If I'm lucky. I could cry. I so should have bought the car then. Dang hindsight.

Anyway, DH and I went out yesterday to see Harry Potter, after which we hit our local Rainforest Cafe. I lamented the fact that I didn't bring my camera, but honestly, the food porn wouldn't have been that interesting.

I was really shocked...I know a lot of restaurants are cutting back, and I full understand we weren't exactly partaking in fine dining, but what I didn't expect was how much smaller the portions were. Fine for me, but the amount of fries on the plate was pitiful. :lmao: They're fries!

Now, we were go with the flow, but our service was pretty awful too. I had to ask twice for a fork. And DH requested American not Swiss, and they ignored it. :lmao: Ah well.

At any rate, the only reason I bring this up is, has anyone dined at the Rainforest or the new T Rex at Downtown recently? I'm wondering if these cutbacks are company wide or if they don't apply to such a high volume tourist area. Since we added a couple of days onto our trip, we were thinking of trying the new T Rex with our DS, who's four. Seems right up his alley lately.

Anyway, forgive my rant. Just curious. :goodvibes
