I thank you all graciously for your help over on the PC thread...

It appears I've pushed a few out of place and they are a bit upset that they have been invaded by some rum swilling (for real...) (they've declared it not funny anymore and I will back away from the race and just post until I'm well beyond 10,000 and let it go...) I've blamed it on the summer heat (that apparently will NEVER get to MY house this summer) and the fact that it is Thursday and they really don't start imbibing until Friday...

So I thank you all again & will let you know when I get to 10,000...

I'm just glad we all enjoy happy hellos from Friendies!!! They are such day brighteners.

No heated seats here, either. Hmmmm....something to consider down the road when we're in car shopping mode again.

I'm just madly trying to catch up!

I am also in the Volkswagen Vortex (with my 2001 Jetta VR6), trying to figure out a new car and get rid of the old one before I have to spend another $700!!! I'm deathly afraid my check engine light will come back on. I'm thinking of renting a car until the last drive to the dealer's.

I'm probably switching to Prius, buying a 2008 that belonged to a friend's mother and only has 5000 miles on it. The Mazda 3 five door is my other fave, but is more money. I'm giving up my moon roof and heated seats, sniff sniff...

I just had a super fun week at Disneyland, especially the part spent playing with my friend Missy and her family. They just all moved to the area and in fact live walking distance to the park. The park is in fact their backyard and they are the happiest family on earth.

I had an incredible meal at Napa Rose, a good one at Hook's Pointe, a terrific breakfast at the Storyteller's Cafe, and yummy comfort food lunch at the Carnation Cafe, but I ate a lot of really mediocre food too. I think I'll have a better knack for it next trip.

I ended up calling because I couldn't book anything past the 14th. Luckily got a really nice CM who knew her stuff and helped me through the fog.

Your plans sound great Brenda! That's odd about the credit card for Jiko -- I just made a new ressie there online for our August trip and it didn't ask me for a credit card. I tentatively have Kona for breakfast on the 19th too.

Just got home ... I bought a CRV tonight. Did you know that in MO a car dealer will let you "forge" your spouses signature on all documents and its OK?



They didn't even verify our income - but I saw our credit scores when I pulled a bureau at work this afternoon - they were throwing money at me by the time I said I wanted to buy.

So I'm mostly happy but a little sad because I really loved my passat. But after it broke down three times in the last week after those wankers said they'd fixed it, I just didn't have any faith that it would last me through the rest of the week, let alone through next year, which is really when we wanted to trade it.

So yay for new cars with Sirius radio and heated seats!

Congratulations on the new car! I'm sure you'll love it. I like this model much more than my old one -- it has a much smoother ride. Sadly, I do not have the heated seats.

I tried getting my +10 on line variously today and it would never work. I'll try it again when I'm done stuffing my face ... maybe it was a system glitch. That, or I'm being singled out again and that will only feed my persecution complex.

Also ... I called DVC today to make a couple more ADRs ... We're going to do an early lunch at Brown Derby on the 21st; Yak and Yeti for lunch on the 22nd; and lunch at Rose & Crown on the 23rd.

I went back to WDW again ... it would not pull up the reservation without a phone number, but it didn't seem to care if I used my home phone or cell phone. Either way the calendar dates are only highlighted through the 14th and it won't let me overwrite the date manually.

If there is something else I'm supposed to do I have no idea what it is.

Brenda - I am betting my first-born daughter that there is no phone number attached to your reservation through Member Services. I could not pull up my reservation until the friend whose points we are renting called MS and added my phone number. She was told by the CM who handled it that it is not a requirement for DVC reservations and some MS CM's neglect to put it into the system. There was no phone number at all attached to our reservation. Once mine had been added I was able to use the online system.

When you called and made your ADRs yesterday I am wondering if MS put your phone number in? Regardless, I am glad it will work for you now. Better late than never!
