That is like a $40 sharpie! :rotfl:

Thanks for the thread!:woohoo:

We got two for one beers last night at Chili's...does that count? :rolleyes1

Hey there Friendies! :goodvibes

I'm working on invitations for the DIS-meet and I need the email address for all those who would like to attend on the evening of the 17th ...

Please PM me so that I can forward you the appropriate info - I need a head count so I can figure out how much cake to order. :thumbsup2

Thanks!

EDITED FOR CLARITY: It sounds like I'm actually making the invitations ... I'm not. Two lovely DIS-Friendies of mine who I've had the pleasure of knowing for a few years have put something together for me based on some ideas that I had. I can come up with ideas all day long I just can't get them from my head into anything resembling artwork. So thanks Cass and Nancy because the invite looks AWESOME!!!

Oy, those food freebies are going to kill me, so I do not click.

You know ... that online reservation system is a blessing and a curse. :lmao: It's almost too easy to change things around (when it works) but it's so convenient (when it works) that I can't resist going back and making all kinds of adjustments (when it works).

Hmmmm ... I'm sensing a theme here. :rotfl2:

Other than a couple of time adjustments I finished the major tweakages for ADRs ... if we nail the F&W reservations that we want I won't have to change anything at all - that would be great!

I'm looking forward to the newbies in our line-up this fall ... Coral Reef, Ohana (breakfast), Brown Derby, and Yak and Yeti.

And I'm looking forward to the F&W events that we've decided to try for ...

Blue Zoo dinner (10/16)
F&W Pairing at Tutto Italia (10/17)
Sweet Sundays (10/18)
Tequila Tasting (10/24)

If we can't nab the Blue Zoo dinner then we're defaulting to the Flying Fish dinner on 10/15 and I will have to adjust a couple of things in our dining plans, but nothing too big.

Thanks for letting me ramble ... I'm having trouble falling asleep. :headache:

I will never do a Sweet Sunday again. I'm done with them.

That button actually looks better than what I did.

This is what I will try for food & wine

Possibly cheese seminar 9/26 (something to take Mom to)
Bluezoo signature 10/16
Tequila tasting probably 10/16, 10/17 or 10/18. If not then, 11/1
Wonders Retreat signature 10/30
PFTS 10/31

And that's it. Plus the three events for the NY festival over Columbus Day weekend.

I could not reserve Jiko for my birthday. No availability at all. Moved it to Flying Fish. No matter since I have the Jiko wine dinner that week anyway. If I want to go to Jiko I can go eat at the bar whenever. I wanted to sit at the open kitchen on my birthday though (and Flying Fish has one too).

Left 8/29 open.
8/30 Flying Fish dinner
8/31 Brown Derby lunch/California Grill dinner
9/1 Coral Reef lunch
9/2 Le Cellier dinner
9/3 Jiko wine dinner
9/4 probably Tchoup Chop
9/5 Sanaa dinner
9/6 Ohana dinner

And these were easy to make online.

I'm calling it the Overhyped Disney Restaurant Tour.

When I called about Sanaa (you can't book that online - it doesn't work) they tried to convince me that I couldn't book Jiko for two and just show up as one person because there'd be a no show fee - I said that wasn't correct - now it looks like it was right as someone mentioned Jiko now has a credit card hold. I tried a dummy reservation online and it says "no credit card hold required." Clicked through and it did not ask for a credit card. Didn't complete the reservation though What is Disney up to? :confused3

Sounds yummy, Brenda! And I'm with you on changing things around....I drive my DH insane when it comes to changing up where we are going to eat. And not just at WDW either....I do the same thing just for a simple night out here in town. I've decided that it's like a disease....that way it's not our fault!:)

Hey you friendies ... Lori started a blog!!! :cool1:

Did I miss the address for the blog? Or is it in her siggy?

Catherine, you've got a great line up there!

It's a staggeringly beautiful day here in the Piedmont of NC. It's 80 degrees, a blindingly Carolina blue sky, with not so much as a drop of humidity. In short, it's the kind of day we get only 4 times a year!:lmao: I've got all my "chores" done for the weekend, we made a Costco run to fill up our pitifully empty wine rack, we're grilling out tonight, and all is right with my world!

Oh yeah, and our F&W Fest trip is now officially off, since I canceled our Poly ressie yesterday.....but our 4 night Caribbean cruise is now booked!:cool1: We've decided that instead of having to get up at the butt early hour of 3 am, and then still have to worry about flight delays, we are going to fly down the night before, and stay overnight in Miami. So looks like I have a dinner to plan.....anyone have any ideas? The last time I was in Miami for any length of time was a high school spanish trip to Little Havana, so I need some advice!

We booked Sanaa online this morning for lunch! The trouble is it doesn't come up on the Animal Kingdom restaurants it's on the main page when you start only! :confused3
