We have rented DVC points for our October trip and are in the same boat you are Robin. I have to make ADRs on Saturday and assume I will need to call that morning (along with half the DIS Boards) for all except our very first one. I ought to be able to make that one online. I also plan to use the online system to tweak daily until satisfied.
I'm not thrilled about having to call for our ADRs either, given the things I've been reading on the restaurant boards about wait times. But I'm hopeful once the full 90+10 has passed that I can use the on-line system to tweak as we need to.
One thing I don't understand ... and maybe someone can explain it to me. If the system doesn't recognize DVC reservation number, how can I even make an ADR? Or once you're less than 90 days does the system just let you make an ADR without a resort reservation number so that you just have to be logged in to the WDW website?
Mornin' Friendies!
oybolshoi, I'd love to chat on the 11th. Sounds fun!
We're finalizing our plans for Oct. The first few days we'll spend with our daughter at Universal. We'll be at WDW Oct 5-12th.
Our dining plans have shaped up this way:
Artist Point
Bistro de Paris (but we're keeping our ears open for more info on Wolfgang Puck's dinner)
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre
(I read enough here to be intrigued! Seemed like a fun spot for a late lunch that day.)
Party for the Senses (Waiting to hear more about this year. From the Examiner, sounds like the theme will be South America.)
Le Cellier-late lunch, then we plan to go to the Sister Hazel concert.
Kouzzina-early lunch, (sounds like it will be open then)
We'll see how the ADR's go. I have a bit of a plan B working if needed.
I tried to do a little better job of limiting our transit times this year, by matching our plans more closely to where we are staying.
Can't believe tomorrow is the 1st of July. This summer seems to be going by fast!![]()
Your ADRs sound yummy - I'd love the Wolfgang Puck dinner, especially if it's hosted upstairs in the Dining Room where we had dinner last Fall.
We limited much of our dining last year based on our home-base being SSR - we had a lot of meals over at Downtown Disney and it worked very well. A lot less Disney transportation headaches that way. We still had some - unavoidable - but it was a lot better than we had any right to expect it to be.
