Being um, Intimate with spouse, on trip...

. . . I can go 9 or more days without initmacy and I'm sure the OP can too, but I can't blame them for not wanting to . . . nor should anyone else. I'm afraid, "By the Blood," that you're probably in the minority in your opinion that it should only be done in one's home otherwise there wouldn't be so much talk about romantic vacations.

Anyway, initimacy on a family trip is difficult, but it isn't a sin. Remember, there are cultures where everyone sleeps in one room . . . and they have lots of kids. Doubt they had pirate cruises and connecting rooms to make those families that big!

The point is that this was a lighthearted look at ways that the parent's can have a little adult fun. BTB, I know you were just expressing your opinion and Nora, I know you were just expressing yours.

Guess you can stop flaming each other and start flaming me . . . I just wanted to keep this rather amusing thread . . . well, rather amusing!

As they say, different strokes for different folks!

Nora - where there is a will there is definitely a way! LOL! :teeth:

I couldn't relax in the same room with my kids sleeping either and I couldn't send them off to a kid camp or even with family because the guilt would prevent me from enjoying myself, though DH would say "buh-bye" to them and be fine with that  (my kids are almost 13 and 7)

I'm SURE you will find a way to be intimate since it is so important to you, just don't worry about it...it CAN happen

We always stay in a 2br villa, so I tell the kids when we come back in the afternoon..."daddy's going to take a nap and I'm going to take a shower....find a movie/play a game/relax/have a snack until we're ready to go back out". They've fallen for it everytime ;)

My dw and I were reading these last night. Just thought I would say great posts since we are now in that stage of our wonderful marriage. It's nice to know we are not alone.

My DH that NEVER reads the disney boards is interested in this one!! Found him reading it the other night after I told him about it. Now if we can jjust make the threads on going to WDW more often just as interesting to him we will be doing good!!!

Jordan's mom

When we went to WDW the first time, I told my husband that it was against Disney law to do THAT there, lol. I said that I could not bare to face Mickey Mouse because he would KNOW what we had done. This was all in good fun of course. We have 3 girls, and while we HAVE been intimate while on vacation, I usually prefer not to. I agree with everyone else about the bathroom. Whether it be IN the shower or some other creative way.

As for those that say the kids will be asleep and will never know......I remember being on vacation once when I was younger and woke up and saw my mom and stepdad. I stayed very quiet and they never knew I was awake. I then told my stepsister all about it the next day, lol. Now, it didn't SCAR me for life, but it might have attributed to my reasons for not wanting to do this while my kids are in the room. Man, I have so many stories that I could tell though, about how other times of hearing or seeing my mom in the act DID scar me. Most of those times, she had no idea that I had seen or heard either. Anyway, if you really want to do it, you will find a way. As for me, I can live without it, so I will continue to use the Law excuse. :rotfl2:

Hello,

Hope you find a way.

I think the 'spooning' idea is a great one! ;)

Am I the only one who is getting a little freaked out by the appearance of this guy  on this topic ? ;)

That's exactly what I was thinking. I will never see the dancing banana in the same way now...

Am I really reading this thread? I went 2 years without it I think people could go nine days! You all are lucky to have someone, i'd hate for anyone to be serial dumped and rejected like I have been.

I think that after this thread there should be a forum for this kind of situations only. ( I will never ever look this banana the same way again)

I guess you read it different then I did. I read it that you go into the bathroom, by yourself and take care of your needs by yourself, then come back to bed by yourself after you have taken care of business.

I read it the same way you did, Christa. I was very confused about how this could scar kids for life.

yes, but i am sure there was a reason you went two years, can people go without it, i suppose if it is necessary, but should they have to-no not if they do not want to , they are married or a couple, on vacation, no one can control when they horny or excited, there is nothing wrong with not waiting as long as it is done in a mature way- i will admit, i was so tired at florida, but after a hot bath and honey bun rubbing oil on my back and feet i forgot all about being tired.

:bounce: he looks like he will tire out or throw out his back whichever comes first and :rotfl2: it is obvious she did not let the parks tire her out
:love2: now this is romantic

I love this thread!!! I am reading it aloud to my DH and we are both crying!! lol!

I say go to the bathroom after they're in bed, or hit the floor on the other side of the bed, you'll probably hear them awaken and you can say you fell off or were looking for something. ;) And by the way, I am no longer interested in who stayed at my hotel. You coulda been in my room!!!

You might be surprised how cheap a 1 bedroom at OKW can be.Even if you stayed a few nights at CBR and then switched to OKW for the rest of the stay.Check out the rent and trade board. When are your dates?
