Here's an all-new plan that makes your room into a suite for about $20:

The original poster's kids are very small, and if they're like most kids they love to sleep in a tent. On ebay you can buy a small dome tent (be sure it's a dome so that it'll set up without tent stakes) for about $20. These tents pack small: about the size of a sleeping bag (which you'll also need to bring). Reserve a king-bed room, which typically has more floor space. Set the tent up in the corner for the kids -- it's now "their room". You get a bigger bed, they have their space, you have your space. Works great.

However, if you start to be in the bathroom together now, your kids will think it's normal for you to share on vacation. As DD8 said into the phone one time, "Hang on, they're in the bathroom." See, all innocent. ;) :smooth:

I have to agree with this. My DS8 is just use to us sharing the bathroom. And yeah the bathroom may not be romantic, but some is better than none!! :bounce:

This had me laughing.

I do not see anything wrong with doing it once the kids are asleep. We did this on two previous trips without interruption. Our kids didn't know a thing. Even after doing Disney all day, we still wanted to get together and have some couple time.

This time we have connecting rooms, our kids are older and there are three of them (8, 4 and 3) and I really need my own bed (7m pregnant).

And unless you are a skinny minnie I don't recommend the sink area or the shower unless you like cramped quarters or are staying in a resort with much bigger bathrooms. ;)

All I have to say is this.... on our last trip to Disney, my son went with his dad, and came home with Mommy... if you catch my drift?

Yes, he was our little souvenir. I have to laugh when people ask me if he's ever been there and I always have to keep myself from saying that. In our case... our DD was a heavy sleeper from being wiped out at parks and cruise.

This coming trip... my DH had better not even THINK about it... I will be too wiped out from parks, and I have enough souvenirs! :rotfl:

All I can say is that where there is a will there is a way. ;) :)

You'll be so tired from chasing over stimulated toddlers that "loving" will be the last thing on your mind!

I had to read this several time to figure it out. Thats funny.

Only new suggestion I could come up with. Go in the bathroom yourself! Get into the bed yourself! Nothing wrong with a little self pleasure know and then.

I'd never have sex while my kids were in the same room. I just couldn't do it. I was traumatized by catching my parents once. They thought I was asleep while we were on vacation. :earseek: I have to admit, we just don't do it on vacation. We're too tired. I guess if we had the urge, we would go to the bathroom. Hey, that makes me think about the thread over on the resorts board about how dirty the rooms are. NOW I am going to clean that bathroom! :earseek: :flower:

oh i concur :rotfl2:

I'm also in the camp of "get a separate room!". I'd be so worried about DS waking up, etc. that it would hardly be a pleasure! Sure, it may not disturb a child long-term, but it might and who wants to take that chance?

And, is it just me, but after long hours walking around the hot parks, overeating high-fat foods, etc.---all of you feel "in the mood?" :earseek:

Karla B. :flower:

I'll tell ya, this is THE main reason we decided to stay off-site. We HAD TO HAVE two bedrooms or we would not be going (said my husband). Two rooms on Disney is out of our price range, so Staybridge Suites here we come! I'd love to come home with a "souvineer", as much as my husband wouldn't! :earboy2:

LOL! :rotfl:

Funny Stuff.

At that age they will we so tired you can do it (quiet) in the next bed. However, if you want to do acrobatics and swing from the ceiling, then I'm afraid you are going to have to splurg on a seperate room.
