We would like to try and ride Everest as close to dark as possible. When we are there, sunset will be around 7:45 and the park closes around 8. What I am wondering is, can we get into line at 7:58 and still get on the ride (they won't stop the ride when the park closes or close the line early), so we can "maximize" the dark :goodvibes?

In short, yes, you can get into line at 7:58 (even 7:59) and ride the attraction. As long as you're in line before closing, you will be allowed to ride.

Yes and everyone on the ride has to wait until the next morning to get off the ride. :rotfl2:

But yes I have read the lines would close at 8:00. Not sure I would wait until the absolute last minute to get in line. But once my sons were allowed to get on RNRC with FPs about 7 minutes after close.
