Being honest , do you think you have the best house on your road?

Nope. My road is great for people who want quite a bit of land with lots of privacy. There are quite a few mansions you would barely know are even there just driving through.

No. There are only 8 on our street. In the neighborhood, I think we bought the smallest floor plan from what I can tell. (I haven't been in any others but they have a "wing" going back in the back yard whereas our house is just straight across). We all keep our yards nice so it's a wash who has the nicest house.

Hahahaha! Defintely not. We bought one of the smaller, fixer uppers in a nice neighborhood. It's been 13 years and our home has doubled in value. It's 100+ years old and constantly needs improvements. A few of the houses on the street have been flipped and improved quite a bit. We have no interest in making our home super fancy, I love the old school charm of ours. I do know I have one of the only houses on the block that has a first floor bedroom and bathroom which is a hige plus. Also we have the largest yard.

It's one of the nicer ones on the paved end, but there is a really nice one after it turns dirt.

Nope. But I love my house. The kitchen and one bathroom really do need a redo but I love the layout. I love that my kids grew up here. I don't see myself ever wanting to move unless my kids as adults move far away, because if that happens I will likely follow them at a safe non stalkery distance.

The one thing I like about my house is that it was a Parade of Homes house, and the builder didn't have another one built in this subdivision. The bottom of our cul-de-sac has 7 houses that were in the Parade of Homes. 6 of the 7 were not by the builder of the subdivision. The rest of my street is more cookie cutter style homes that have differences, but they aren't as unique to the neighborhood.

Would I say ours is the best? No. But I love my house because although it fits into the neighborhood beautifully, it is different.

On my road (street)? Definitely yes. The only residential on this block is our condo complex (school across the street; church on the corner). Our home is very, very similar to all the others; not much differentiating the best-from-the-worst, and being as we have a nicely kept yard and very recent cosmetic renos inside, we ought to be right up there.

I’d say we’re in the top 3. We have about 10 houses on our street. All built late ‘50’s - late ‘60’s. Ours has had a good bit of updating, and we just moved in last June. There is one at the corner that also has had updating and has a beautiful yard. The house beside us is having updates done right now, so their yard is a mess, but their new windows are beautiful & can’t wait to see their other reno. We are currently updating all landscaping out front. Next year we’ll work on the back. And we’ll slowly do some interior changes.

44 house on my street, I'd say mine is about the middle of the pack. Three different builders and technically four different subdivisions . First two subdivisions were built 1976 to 1979 by the same builder. Street was extended to the west in 1985. That builder used cheaper construction techniques but put more "gingerbread" in his homes Street was a dead end to the east converted into a cul de sac in 2009. Those are the nicest houses.

We are in a townhouse community so the houses look the same on the outside. As far as inside we are probably the worst but have not really been inside anyone else’s. We need some new paint and carpeting plus a few other things.

Maybe not, but definitely in the top 6. Yes, there are only six houses on the street!
