Being dropped off at port

we have someone dropping us off at port (canaveral) before she goes to work, I think I read the port opens at 10:30 but we will be there before 10am....can we wait at the doors or what can we do?

If your friend is allowed to drive through the port drop-off zone, you'll be directed to take an elevator to the third floor of the parking garage and have to wait there.

This changes from time to time but just so you know there are times that you are not allowed to enter the port area until after 10am. They make the traffic drive around until they open.
