Could someone please describe them to me? I have heard they are wonderful, are they sweet or is it like a bagel? Our first time at FQ this sept.

Beignets ~ when done right ~ are to die for! :woohoo: They are sweet and should be covered in about a pound of powdered sugar! Drink with coffee or hot chocolate. The best are at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans, but I'm sure WDW does them nicely as well..... ;)
Try one!

do they have anything inside of them? are they flakey? Anyone have a picture?

My sister lives in New Orleans, and the first time I had Beignets at Cafe du Monde was when I went down for her graduation from Tulane. I made the big mistake of ordering two orders for myself, and a Dr. Pepper. Halfway through the first bag, I was pretty sure I was slipping into a diabetic coma.:lmao: It was soooo worth it though. I can't wait to go back and see her, just to go there.

Nope, nothing in side of them. Basically just puffed out, deep fried dough covered in powdered sugar. And yet they are soooo good. I could only eat one; way too sweet to eat more than that, for me anyway. Best to eat them while they're hot or at least the day you get them. We had our order for breakfast the next day, and by then they were very gooey and had "deflated" essentially.

After reading all the incredible reviews of the beignets we got them about 10 minutes after arriving at POFQ.

Sorry....but they were just OK. They did make them fresh while we waited but I was rather dissapointed. I'm a total sweet lover and thought these would be great.

Try them they are only $1.99 for 3....then you can decide for yourself.

Think of big puffy donught holes with powdered sugar on the outside. The ones at POFQ are ok but can't compare to the ones in New Orleans at Cafe du Monde!!

Yummy- now I want to go to New Orleans! Must have a cup of chicory to go with them, though!!!:upsidedow
