Has anyone ever done the Behind the Seeds Tour at Epcot? My mother and I are hopefully doing it in September and was wondering what people thought. Disney's website is extremely limited on what it says about it. Is there anything you can add to the description that Disney gives?

We love this tour. It is a walking tour of living with the land. You get to see the plants and other displays up close. You start in the labs and then move through the green house. I don't think I'm doing it justice, just know that we thought it was fun.

My son and I did it last March and enjoyed it. You walk in the greenhouse sort of behind all the plants, obviously you aren't allowed to actually walk in the gardens. Lot of interesting facts, not very long and worth it to us.

It's a worthwhile & interesting tour. I recommend it for the two of you.

Did this a couple of years ago with DBFF. Nice tour. Lot of interesting information. Good tour length- long enough to be worth the price, but not too long. When we went they cut up and gave samples of burp-less cucumbers.

My mom (77) and I are taking the tour for the first time in July. I'm expecting to not have any problems because of a wheelchair? But... Good to see these reviews!

If I may ask an additional question?

Do I have to book these ahead of time or can I show up to the tour counter and book for the next slot?
I feel rather apprehensive booking a tour time and I have no idea where we will be in the park ...

I did it last week. We did the first tour at 10:30 - we planned in in the schedule. I would think you need to book it.

I found it very interesting IF you like to garden they have some great ideas and suggestions for you. We got a handout on making a hydroponic garden and it had websites to look for other types they showed. IT was worth the $17 I spent for it

I don't think it's necessary to book ahead (unless maybe you are going at Christmas, Easter or any of the extreme peak times).

We did it three weeks ago on a weekend and just walked up and were put on the next tour.

There are a number of tours throughout the day, so maybe go earlier in your park day to make sure you get on one just in case?

There were 8 people on our tour, and there seemed to be about the same on the tour after us.

It took about an hour, and we enjoyed having more time to see the inside of the greenhouses. You also get to walk through the area with the alligators and fish. Our son was the only kid in our group, and he got to feed the fish in one of the tanks.

We did this a few years ago with the kids and it was awesome. :) Educational, fun and just an all round good time.

We booked in advance and our group was pretty full. I think there was a limit of some amount though and we hit that number. I called the number, booked a time and made sure we were there as they take payment at the time of booking. We got an AP discount too, which really was nice.

Shouldn't be too much of a problem except when going to feed the fish - that was a squeeze. A wheelchair should fit, but not much room to maneuver.

I agree that you wil not need to book ahead unless you want a timeframe that is written in stone. There are several tours a day. WE just planned the day we wanted to go and booked it when we were in The Land.

This is a nice tour, especially for those folks who want to take a tour but also have a lot going on. It is just long enough to be a very nice value and experience, but not so long that you begin to worry about things you could be doing.

We just booked it on a whim, got off Soarin, it was there, we were there and thought what the heck. There were maybe 6 other people so 8 including us. They offer just about every discount you can think of, AP, military, AAA. All were the same amount so we ended up using my AP.
