Looking for some input on this tour if anyone has done it. The cost seems pretty reasonable and I've always loved The Land so I'm considering it for my trip in August. Thoughts? Thanks in advance! :flower3:

We haven't personally done it, but a co-worker and his wife did it and they loved it. They're really into gardening, which may or may not have played a factor in that. I know that it's a pretty reasonable cost in comparison to a lot of other tours in the world.

We did it about 2 years ago and loved it. Our kids were 4 and 8 at the time and they also enjoyed it. At the time gardening was something I never considerd doing but the tour actually turned me onto a new hobby and I dabbled in some herb gardening last year. I highly recommend it for any Land fans.

We did the tour twice last year. Loved it. We learned so much and have applied some of the information to our own gardens. The cast members love to answer questions and elaborate on any area you may be interested in.

I did it last September and thought it was ... okay. I wouldn't do it again but it was pretty fun for the price. Our tour guide wasn't the best (he was very nice but a little awkward) so I'm sure that played a part. Overall, I would recommend giving it a try and making up your own mind :)

My family just did it in January and really enjoyed it. I had always been hesitant since I have two young boys (10 & 6) and I tend to kill anything that I plant but we all really enjoyed it. The CM doing our tour was very knowledgeable and seemed very interested in everything that she showed us. The tour lasted right about an hour and with the DVC or AP discount (make sure you ask) I think it was well worth it.

We are also considering doing the tour but I can't remember what it cost. Does anyone know? TY!

I've done the Behind Seeds Tour (about 10 years ago) and loved it. The CM are knowledgable and more then willing to answer questions. This is a must for nyone who is a "Living With The Land" fan...

From allears.net

$18/per adult and $14/per child (3-9). Reservations can be made up to one year in advance.

Same day tour sign-up downstairs at The Land pavilion, near the entrance to Soarin'.

We did The Land for the first time on our last trip and really enjoyed that. I wonder if hubby would be interested in the Tour. I had thought about it because the price is right, but I wasn't sure he'd like it. Might be something to consider.

Two things...

1. Isn't there a AAA discount of, maybe 15%?

2. I know they "take" walk-ups if there is room. I'd prefer to do it that way, even if we have to go in the a.m. to register and take a tour later in the day. We will probably be there on a Tuesday or Wednesday the first week of April. Do you think we should have reservations?

When we went last month we were able to just walk up and pretty much pick our time slot. I'd err on the side of caution and make a reservation for it if you really want to do the tour during a busy time. And I only seem to recall a DVC or AP discount.

Just returned and we also took the tour. It was very enjoyable and I would definitely do it again. Considering the prices of the other tours I think this one is for anyone especially if you love The Land like I do. :)

I did the tour in June, 2010. I didn't make a reservation, just walked up to the desk where you pay for it and got the next available time. They had plenty of time slots available even though the park seemed pretty busy that day.

I loved the tour and would do it again. It was very informative and I thought it was really cool to be able to walk around some parts of the ride and see things up close.

If you like the ride or are interested in the subject, you will enjoy it. I think it's worth the price. Like others said, if you are only going to be at Epcot for one day or you have a big party, make a reservation. If not, just go there in the morning you wish to take the tour.

Have taken this tour twice and enjoyed it. Not so much the 2nd time as there were 3 young boys, maybe 6 thru 9, whos respective parents apparently thought it was up to the tour guide to keep the boys in line so a lot of the time she was having to keep them from tearing things up rather than explaining things.

We did the Behind the Seeds Tour in October. My boys (ages 13, 10 and 10) LOVED it! They were the only kids in our tour, so they were able to release the lady bugs, hold the lemon, and help the Guide with a demo.
There was a DVC discount of 20%.
Here are a few pics....
