This tour is in the Land pavillion and basically takes you on a 1 hour walking tour of the labs and the greenhouses. If you have been on the boat ride in the Land , you walk where that takes you. We did it last October and my kids loved it!! The tour is about $12. but they did take several discounts (dvc, ap, Disney visa), although that might have changed. I would highly recommend it!!

Just to add to the above post, The best part of it is being able to get right up close to most of the plants in the green house rather than 15 feet away on the boat. Also you can stop at any time to take an even closer look at something and ask any questions you want. You get much more interesting info from interaction with the guides. We even got to sample some of the vegetables. Well worth the $12 IMHO.

I seem to recall someone saying they sometimes do something special for kids on this tour (my son will be 8 when we go). Can anyone give me details -- or confirm that my memory is acting up?

When we went they gave the kids ladybugs that were in the fridge at the beginning of the tour and told them to keep them in their pocket so they would warm up. Then later on they released them into the greenhouse.

Oh and they give an AAA discount on the tour, too.

I just p[osted on this same topic on another thread. I loved the Tour, would do it again & would recommend it. Lots of fun, esp. if you are interested in gardening.
