Cardiff is in Wales which is about 200 miles from us, we live in the South East of England and Cardiff is almost directly west of us! I don't watch Dr Who is he from Cardiff?

They film most of Doctor Who in Cardiff. The guy who plays Doctor Who is from Scotland. It's too funny to hear him talk in real life because he fakes an English accent for the series! Do you watch Robin Hood? We kind of hooked on that one too.

He watches Dr Who.

I have watched with him here and there. But the last time that I actually watched them regularly was when Tom Baker was the Dr.

Day two Part Four

This is a short update. I don't think I'll ever get through day two!!


The Garden Grill is a great character meal! Enjoy it while you can, in their infinite wisdom, they are taking the characters out!! I hope that it will be like the menu change they did a couple of years ago that only lasted a few months….The GG is by far out favorite character meal – more controlled and laid back than the craziness of Chef Mickey’s…..but I digress…..
The booth we were in was a semicircle so it feels very private. It’s also quiet, which means a lot to Em and I. We both have a hard time dealing with loud noises over long periods of time. Me no likey the noise either!! And look who comes by while you eat.

Agghh!!! Six foot tall RODENTS!!!!!!

Chip and Dale are always the best. They seem a little rowdier here than anywhere else. (I think they sample everyone’s deserts before they come out of the kitchen) When Chip visited our table, Dale leaned over the back to taunt him. Chip’s arms are folded because he is getting a little ticked off.

Dale took forever to get to our table, probably hiding from Chip.

I’m not sure how we did it, but after all that good food we still managed to have room for this.

That’s the Very Berry Pastry. Em and Jake got decorate your own cupcakes.

What a great meal!!!

We've only been watching since David Tenant became Doctor Who, but we are trying to go back and watch older ones as we find them.

I agree that Chip and Dale are the best at the GG. I remember one time they were playing with some biscuts from someone elses table. They took them over to our table, flattened them, and then played frisbee with them. Then Dale held them over his ears and pretended to be Mickey. Well next thing we know, the chipmunks are running away because Mickey spotted them pretending to be him

And then Mickey danced with my mother

Hi Lynn and Chuck! Just found your trippie and very much enjoyed what I've read. My husband wants to know if he can be adopted...apparently he really likes Star Wars and wants to do SWW (the things you find out after 6yrs of marriage ) I guess I'll have to try and surprise him with a trip next year.

Can't wait for the rest of the report....that is if day 2 ever ends?

Hilarious!! We've seen them cahse each othyer all around the restaurant. Once poor Pluto backed into someone's table and he was so embarrased he tried to go under the table. We've had the best times there!

Okay, I just went to one of my favorite places for info, allearsnet.com. Lunch at the Garden grill is being discontinued as of Oct. 6. You will still have the characters!! They will still have dinner with the characters. We have never been for dinner(lunch is cheaper), but I guess we will have to give a try.

Glad he liked the shirts. You should make some of your own. Even when we wear them around the neighborhood, we get compliments. (Yeah, people in the neighborhood know we are the crazy Disney people.)

I will not shed a tear over Pocahontas. Though I do love her character that show is awful. I see the animals they showcase just about everyday. I am so sad about LTT. At least I was able to get a ADR, it's late though 9:20pm! Oh well, it will be worth it.

Thanks! I hope that's the only crazy thing we are known for in the neighborhood. It's a colorful neighborhood!

Sorry you didn't like the show. I felt the same way about Tarzan (way too loud!), but I'm glad we got to see it before it was gone.
Congrats on the ADR for LTT! You will love it! I was hoping someday to get to MNSSHP and have dinner there before to see the characters in theor costumes..... oh well.

We too enjoyed GG but mostly for the Characters, Chip and Dale being the real draw. I don't know what Disney is thinking lately between GG and LTT, and closing The Adventures Club they have clearly lost their minds.

I am hoping that it is simply that they are planning on bringing in all sorts of really neat new things that will simply wow us!!!
